Mainstack, a Techcrunch battlefield startup enabling cross-border transactions for digital creators, is launching Moment, a three-day summit designed to connect Africa’s burgeoning creator economy with global brands and business opportunities.
The event, scheduled for March 13-15, 2026, at Landmark Event Centre in Lagos, Nigeria, is expected to attract more than 4,000 creators, 150 brands, and 100 industry leaders representing over 100 million combined followers across the continent.
“Moment is about institutionalising the room that Africa’s creators deserve—a high-stakes environment where raw creativity meets industrial-scale opportunity,” Mainstack CEO Ayobami Oyaleke told Insider. “This is the definitive marketplace where creators will lock hands with the platforms and partners dictating the future of global commerce.”
A Structured Approach To Monetization
The summit takes a three-pronged approach to helping African creators scale their businesses. Day one kicks off with an exclusive evening networking event connecting creators with corporate partners. Day two features keynotes, masterclasses, and panel discussions focused on digital business growth. The event concludes with an awards ceremony and dinner celebrating top performers in the creator ecosystem.
Programming spans six content tracks: Content & Storytelling, Creativity & Expression, Digital Entrepreneurship, Exponential Tech & Gaming, Business Growth, and Policy & Governance.
More than 150 speakers will participate in the summit, including tech creator Fisayo Fosudo, musician MI Abaga, Fourth Mainland Fund for Creators founder Chude Jideonwo, tech journalist Fatu, and media personality Jay On-air.
Building Infrastructure For Africa’s Digital Economy
Mainstack operates a commerce platform that allows creators to accept payments in over 135 currencies, addressing a key friction point for African creators working with international clients and audiences. The company positions Moment 2026 as the physical extension of its digital infrastructure.
The summit comes as Africa’s creator economy gains momentum, with platforms and brands increasingly seeking to tap into the continent’s young, digitally native population.
