The artist is, once again, showcasing his versatility, creativity, passion, and love for music in his upcoming album, making it a true game-changer to watch in the music scene.
Born in Georgetown, Guyana, Shawn2Hot migrated to the United States at age 16, where he was exposed to various styles of hip-hop music, specifically to Snoop Dogg’s Doggystyle album, which changed his life forever. The artist also grew up listening to oldies, reggae, alternative, and rock music, molding him to be the creative visionary he is today. Despite admiring many genres of music, he knew that he was born for hip-hop, and he followed it with all his heart.
Shawn2Hot started converting his written poems into music at age 10. Then at 17, he went all out and made beats and dipped his feet into audio production. His newfound skill helped him propel his music career, producing tracks, formulating melodies, and writing music even without professional training. Because he wasn’t honed by any formal university or institution, the artist shared that his style goes outside the box, undefined yet unforgettable at the same time.
In terms of messages, Shawn2Hot’s music embodies the hardships and pain he experienced growing up. He was raised in a poverty-ridden environment and was exposed to violence as a child. Today, he amplifies his journey and the lessons of his past through hip-hop, aiming to inspire listeners who have gone through or are going through the same thing.
Shawn2Hot has released hit singles over the years. His first two creations, “Can’t Hold Me” and “Lust,” generated quite the buzz in the underground hip-hop scene. The latter has generated over 100,000 streams across major music platforms. In addition, his third single, “Into You,” was aired on Power105, along with his sixth single, called “Right Now.”

“Sitting around waiting for a major label to pick my work up seemed like a pipe dream. I needed to take control of the situation. I ran an online beat store that went under the name of Volcano Music Group. The motivation, vision, and resources were accessible. I decided to convert the beat store into a record label to be able to release my music,” Shawn2Hot shared.
His business also inspired the name of his album, which he is currently expanding to make Volcano Music Group a recognized household name for music and other business ventures. The entrepreneur also aims to sign more talented artists in the future.
“It’s not about where you are today. It’s about where you want to be tomorrow, next week, next month, or the following year. Your daily activities could change your life in a positive or negative way; choose wisely,” Shawn2Hot explained.
