Brittany Cavallo possesses a rich background of entrepreneurship in the competitive real estate industry. Over the years, she realized that the discontent she saw with agents and home buyers alike had room for repair. After honing her skills with smaller firms, she founded her own brokerage in 2019, committed to delivering exceptional service and reshaping industry norms. Refined Real Estate creates a more honest and holistic way for both agents and consumers in the housing market to go through the phases of a real estate deal.

Brittany grew up observing her mother navigate various business ventures, and it sparked her own interest in entrepreneurship and client relations. Frequently relocating while young provided her with savvy around living environments across the country. In 2008, the economic downturn led to the closure of a construction business Brittany was running; However, from it she found an unexpected opportunity in real estate—she was hired by a temporary agency to do marketing for Coldwell Banker. Brittany’s extensive tenure with various real estate firms revealed a significant insight: despite the fluctuation among names on the doors, the core product remained static and uninspiring.

In general, the largest problem within these firms was their focus on their bottom line rather than on support of the growth and success of their agents. Tendencies to keep specific information from newer agents or ignore client needs for a payday hurt a  business in the long-term. For example, recent lawsuit settlements that change the way consumers pay real estate agents. Brittany sees a significant issue: most agencies are not educating their agents about these changes, resulting in consumers not receiving accurate information. Faced with the choice of either starting her own venture or joining another established firm, Brittany astutely chose the former. This decision—prescient and bold in hindsight—marked the beginning of her mission to recolor the real estate industry, prioritizing client satisfaction and agent empowerment.

Starting a business in a saturated sales industry like real estate consistently supplies many difficult obstacles. For Brittany, the first hurdle was establishing a distinctive identity for her boutique brokerage. Early on, she recognized the importance of differentiation and sought to add value by offering comprehensive packages that included ancillary services like design and architecture, alongside traditional real estate offerings. This strategic flexibility in both scheduling and service offerings proved instrumental in her early success. Recruiting talented agents who shared her vision posed another significant obstacle. Brittany got resourceful and bought into an unconventional approach. Instead of exclusively targeting full-time agents, she embraced part-time professionals and provided them with robust support systems to ensure their success without having to choose between a day job and a real estate career. This approach has yielded remarkable results, fostering high agent satisfaction and minimizing turnover within her organization. The great business risks look like simple decisions when you look back on them; Brittany’s business sense helped her through the early years of Refined Real Estate.

More recently, low inventory, heightened interest rates, and legal complexities at the national level have challenged Brittany as the now family business keeps growing. She’s answered through her boutique structure, swiftly shifting market dynamics. Brittany empowered her clients by offering customizable service packages and à la carte options, delivering tailored solutions while maintaining her commitment to dynamic and excellent service. This adaptive mindset has not only allowed her to weather industry-wide challenges; it’s also positioned her as a trailblazer in redefining the real estate landscape.

Refined Real Estate changed the drab approach of larger firms and brokerages  by prioritizing individualized attention, embracing innovation, and cultivating a holistic and friendly culture. Rooted in a deep-seated commitment to assisting others in realizing their professional and personal ambitions, Brittany places the utmost importance on the needs of both clients and agents.  She personalizes her customer interactions even as the company grows and creates an environment where success becomes an expectation rather than a loose and expensive possibility. Brittany is known to join agents, buying and selling real estate alongside them. This hands-on approach adds a level of actualization that distinguishes her from her competitors.

Brittany enjoys facing the public, and her business supplements her charisma. She has competed on The Blox, a show for entrepreneurs to get seen by larger audiences. She has also participated in local town government, sitting on boards such as the Cultural Council and the Housing Partnership, which helps provide grants to assist people in achieving the significant life stepping stone of homeownership. Additionally, Brittany co-hosts a podcast called “Those Girls,” which focuses on empowering small businesses within local communities. Settled in her community, she loves giving back and participating in community events throughout the year.

Refined Real Estate has noble goals: reinstating affordability within communities, leveraging innovative technological advancements, and striving to make homeownership more accessible for all. Similar to her approach selling homes, Brittany believes the real estate experience should not adhere to a one-size-fits-all template.

With boutique style and energetic problem solving, Brittany Cavallo’s service in the real estate industry demonstrates a commitment to excellence. The power of a seasoned team of brokers, architects, agents, and consultants are very available to give you a personalized and genuine experience.
