In a world increasingly dominated by technology, where distractions are abundant and mindfulness is often sidelined, Carri Norton and Ron Butterworth are on a mission to change that narrative. Through their innovative app, Sparkle Revolution, the entrepreneurial duo is bringing daily gratitude and mindfulness into the digital age – one moment of awareness at a time.
The Journey Begins Rooted in Tech
Carri Norton’s career has always been rooted in technology. With a background in software development, she has navigated the landscapes of both startups and Fortune 500 companies. Her roles spanned from writing code to leading large development teams and setting product strategies. Even though she was experiencing success in her professional career, Carri felt there was more to life and thus began a deeply personal journey of self-discovery.
Carri’s exploration into mindfulness and the law of attraction started long before Sparkle Revolution was conceived. Alongside her husband Ron Butterworth, who also shares a technological background, the couple began to notice a profound connection between having a consistent spiritual practice and experiencing tangible improvements in their day-to-day lives.
“We would go through phases where we were really practicing these things – meditating, reflecting, and practicing gratitude,” Carri shared. “And life just felt better. Then, life would get busy and we’d forget, and we could feel the difference.”
From Idea to Reality
The inspiration for Sparkle Revolution was born from this very realization. “We knew that if we could create a tool that would help people stay consistent with these practices, it could make a real difference,” Ron added. Carri and Ron began sketching out the idea for an app that could help people create a consistent mindfulness habit, with gentle reminders every day to stay on track – a gentle nudge towards gratitude, mindfulness, and positivity each day.
Their combined experience in technology made the development process smoother but not without its challenges. “We built it together, piece by piece, learning and iterating as we went along,” said Carri. Drawing on Carri’s expertise in software development and Ron’s technical know-how, the couple crafted Sparkle Revolution to be intuitive, engaging, and impactful. Friends and family served as beta testers, providing crucial feedback that helped refine the user experience.
Micro-Mindfulness for Big Impact
One of the core philosophies behind Sparkle Revolution is the idea of “micro-mindfulness.” Carri and Ron believe that small, intentional actions practiced consistently can create lasting change.
“Each person has the potential to positively impact those around them,” Carri shares. “This impact can be exponential.” Through Sparkle Revolution, users are encouraged to perform short daily activities centered on three pillars – gratitude, awareness, and positivity. These micro-mindful moments help to increase well-being and foster a habit of mindfulness that fits seamlessly into even the busiest of schedules.
“Research suggests that the pillars of gratitude, awareness, and positivity increase well-being. We wanted to create a tool that helps people build these habits simply and consistently,” Carri explains.
Building a Mindful Community
Sparkle Revolution is designed to be more than just an app – it’s a community dedicated to positivity and growth. Carri and Ron envision Sparkle Revolution evolving into a platform that not only builds individual mindfulness but also fosters collective growth. “We want users to understand they are part of something bigger,” Ron explains. Future plans include community-driven features that connect users with like-minded individuals, as well as avenues for connecting with coaches, healers, and spiritual guides.
They also see Sparkle Revolution being used as a tool for psychologists, coaches, and wellness professionals to integrate structured mindfulness practices into their client programs. “Our vision is to help people on their individual spiritual journeys, building in more personalization and community support,” Carri added.
The Road Ahead
For Carri and Ron, the journey is just beginning. “We believe that if more people practiced mindfulness consistently, the world would be a more compassionate and connected place,” Ron shares.
With plans for expansion and ongoing improvements to the app, Carri and Ron are proving that technology can be a tool for good – a means to foster gratitude, positivity, and mindfulness in an increasingly digital world. Sparkle Revolution is their testament to that belief, a reminder that even in the busiest of lives, there’s always room to sparkle.
