Emigrating to the United States from Pakistan at thirteen years old, Zohaib Shah was no stranger to facing adversities. But, overcoming anxieties and adapting to his new environment, Zo would build a character mindset that would eventually help him in his entrepreneurial journey. He also developed his resolve to work hard from watching his family work tirelessly, especially his father, who hustled to bring food to the table. Eventually, he would utilize the years of knowledge and consultation he accumulated from his family to create Darucci Leather.
Established in 2013, Darucci Leather is the product of Zo’s passion for the craft. A high-end fashion venture that has gained a prominent stature for its stylish outerwear collection, Darucci Leather boasts a colorful inventory that ranges from bomber jackets with black fox collars for children to men’s shearling and women’s fox fur coats. The brand reflects Zo’s exquisite taste, and he shares his penchant with others. While Darucci Leather is renowned for its outerwear, the brand also offers an inventory of practical apparel for modern society. Additionally, Darucci Leather takes a more financially-friendly approach, bringing high-quality products at affordable prices.
With eight years in the fashion industry, Zohaib Shah’s passion project has evolved into a widely-acclaimed brand that has earned countless praises from authorities and powerhouses in the industry. Initially starting with a small loan that gradually grew, Zo went from a wholesaler to a vastly successful brand owner, encouraging others to hold on and chase their dreams.
“The name of the game is believing in yourself. If you don’t believe in yourself, you’re never going to get anything done in life,” shared the Darucci Leather founder, “So have faith in yourself. Close your eyes and go for your goals. Stop worrying about if it’s going to work. Stop worrying if it’s going to take off or not. Just go for it and give it 110%.”
