Power Book III: Raising Kanan Actor Jermaine Rivers to have “Breakout Year” with role in DCEU Film “Black Adam”

Award-winning actor Jermaine Rivers is reaping the benefits from all of his hard work as 2022 is shaping up to be his Breakout Year. With the release of the highly anticipated film “Black Adam” starring Dwayne Johnson being days away, not only will the hierarchy of the DC Universe change, but also the careers of the actors involved with this film. With his role in Black Adam, not only has Rivers cemented a space for himself within the DCEU, but his acting career is now moving in an upward trajectory.

Rivers is no stranger to the superhero genre, the Atlanta based actor is best known for his recurring role as Shatter on Marvel’s series “The Gifted”, a drama that was set in the X-Men universe. Last year Rivers officially became part of the MCU when he doubled as (Jamie Fox’s) Electro in “Spider-Man No Way Home”. With roles in both the MCU DCEU under his belt Rivers is well on his way to becoming a house-hold name. Aside from his appearance in the DCEU Blockbuster, Rivers is also expected to appear in two promising film projects in 2023, “A Party to Die For” and “Freedom’s Path.” Next  Spring, he will be joining the cast of Netflix hit series “Sweet Magnolias” in a recurring role (Charles Perkins), a newly developed character who will play a recurring role on the show. Rivers first announced his casting via Instagram saying, “Feeling extremely blessed and excited to be joining the amazing cast of Sweet Magnolias in Season 3.”
