Who’s Adam Hussain, and what does he represent?

I am a young lawyer, passionate about the profession, the people I represent. I run Adam Prudens Law, a pro-bono legal support organisation in Bradford, United Kingdom with connections around the world in Australia and South Africa. I run a charity in South Africa under the ‘projects abroad’ group. I studied my degree at a world-class university in Australia before building the brand ‘Adam Prudens Law’ when I returned home that you know of today. My business model was to tackle the world’s social, financial and environmental challenges. This made me stick to the law, where I have built a successful startup.

What has been your greatest recipe for success?

As a young person, I had to do double the work to prove myself to everyone. This inspired me to take my business connections more seriously because the connection you make today might open doors for you tomorrow. All through my pre-qualifying stage, I have built connections globally and partnered with notable people in my field who align with my goals and visions. These people continue to be the bedrock of my success as I leverage on their connections, thereby reducing how much work I have to do to introduce myself to new ideas and even parts of the world. With this said, without the support of Proctor and Hobbs Solicitors, and my father, I would not be able to accomplish my goals.

What advice do you have for young people?

Every young person should believe more in their dreams and be willing to go all the way out to achieve them. It doesn’t matter the background you come from. If you’re actually determined and work hard, you can aim to retire by thirty years old. Also, I advise people to stop focusing on money. Don’t go out looking for money. If you are good at what you do, money will follow.

What part of your career stands out to you?

Honestly, it’s my approach to things. I was never going out looking for money. I have built Adam Prudens Law on the back of doing things differently and not charging clients for the legal support I am able to provide. At Adams Prudens Law, we adopt a unique approach with everything we do. Even when I just started out on my career, I did it with a project in South Africa to battle for human rights laws. At one point in life, I contemplated practising aviation law, so commenced my private pilots licence. Not everyone agrees with my unconventional approaches, but somehow I make it work, and they eventually get with the idea. It’s been a hell of a ride, but my ideas have been recognised by Solicitors and Barristers across the country. And we only just started.

What are your goals for the future?

We have evidently gained some momentum in the UK, and there’s a lot more on the table that we want to achieve in the next few years. I would love to do an MBA at The University of Oxford in a few years from now. I would not mind returning to Sydney soon. However, my biggest goal for the future is to make the world a better place, and I’m pursuing that goal relentlessly through every chance and opportunity I get.

If there’s anything you could change, what would it be?

I don’t think I can specifically point to anything because I’m living the efforts that I am putting in, it is not all a dream. I always wanted to run a successful venture, and I’m doing that as a young person.  I just wish to find volunteers with a similar vision to help the vision of Adam Prudens Law pull through. However, I am in the position to inspire young people to go abroad, pursue law in an innovative way and challenge perceptions. My journey started with the idea of helping young people see the world and become impactful professionals in different fields. I have been committed to making that happen over the years, and I have not looked back.

Can you share some of your notable success stories?

We created the Adam Prudens Law newsletter to guide young people looking to study abroad and support them in every way possible. The newsletter now has hundreds of subscribers. I have also been featured in top publications like New York Weekly, Economic Insider, US Insider, CEO Weekly and the Telegraph & Argus. I have acquired business connections across the globe, with clients satisfied with our legal support and spreading the word about what we have to offer.
