Meet Yaroslava Mazepina, a Product Quality Manager whose pioneering work has tackled the challenge of ensuring financial data accuracy, helping reduce systemic defects, and minimizing calculation errors that have led to distorted millions of customer financial records. Now, she’s applying the same rigorous quality standards to improve influencer marketing’s often criticized ecosystem.

In her role leading product quality at one of Europe’s largest trading platforms, Mazepina focuses on improving the integrity of account statements and tax reports for millions of daily users across 20+ countries – blending deep technical expertise with strategic vision. She led the development of a Root Cause Analysis Methodology that uncovered numerous long-standing issues affecting over 25 million users.

Despite the intensity of her real-time fintech work – where quality, compliance, and user experience need to align under constant regulatory pressure – Yaroslava Mazepina finds time to mentor and inspire. She supports emerging talent through Women in Tech, mentors with ADPList, and contributes to the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, a UNESCO-recognized scientific institution.

She believes that anyone with a clear goal and a genuine passion for their field can potentially build a global career. “I try to center my work around passion, people, and purpose,” she says. “I’m confident that every experience in life – even the ones that seem unrelated – can help guide you toward your own path to success.”

From Mystery Shopper to Tech Leader

Yaroslava Mazepina’s journey began in Donetsk, Ukraine, where an early fascination with mathematics and science honed her analytical and problem-solving skills. Mazepina says her early curiosity set the stage for a career in engineering and innovation: “I was always a curious child,” she recalls. “I wanted to know how and, more importantly, why something worked or didn’t.”

She earned her master’s degree in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science from Vasyl Stus Donetsk National University in 2013. During her studies, she combined academic excellence in math, logic, algorithm theory, and statistics with hands-on experiences that would later prove formative.

A summer job in marketing taught her how product value is communicated to real customers. “I didn’t know how products were built yet,” she smiles, “but I learned how they speak to people – and that skill still serves me every day.”

The following year, she became a mystery shopper, visiting stores and service providers while posing as a customer. “I was basically a QA engineer in the physical world — I just didn’t know it yet.” That unusual experience, paired with her tech background, unknowingly laid the foundation for her future in technology.

When she landed her first QA role in 2013, everything clicked. “I realized I could combine my love for detail with my drive to improve things – not just for the product, but for the customer.”

Building Quality That Impacts Millions

Her customer-first mindset soon earned her a leadership role at Geozilla, where she introduced customer-centric testing strategies that lifted app store ratings and boosted user satisfaction. In 2016, she joined one of the Big Four firms, developing automation for a fintech product serving nearly half a million real-time users.

“I kept the mantra ‘Customer is king’ in mind while designing testing frameworks,” she recalls. “That period taught me how to align high-quality processes with real business needs – a skill that shaped the rest of my career.”

At the same time, Mazepina began sharing her insights publicly. In 2018, she launched an Instagram blog on quality assurance, becoming Ukraine’s most-followed QA voice at the time with 49,000 followers. “I took the same approach as in my professional work – I looked at what people needed and brought quality to meet it,” she says. “The difference was that it was quality content on social media instead of in an application.” She later founded the ‘I Am QA’ and System PRO initiatives, which have supported over 4,500 professionals in Ukraine and the UK transition into tech careers.

“One of my proudest moments was when a former flight attendant from my program secured her first QA job,” she says. “That’s the kind of transformation that makes everything worthwhile. It also showed me how quality can impact domains far beyond tech.”

Since 2021, Mazepina has worked on improving account statement and tax reporting quality at a major trading platform with 37+ million users. “For years, nobody checked the logic behind our account statements – teams just kept adding features,” she explains. “When I noticed customer support tickets kept increasing, I decided to dig in.”

Her investigation uncovered mismatches, legacy logic errors, and multi-year issues that had escaped automated testing. To prevent future degradation, she built the Multi-Jurisdictional Validation Framework, a system with database debugging methodology designed to safeguard accuracy across 70 countries and multi-currency portfolios. “This work not only enhanced transparency and trust,” she says, “but also saved customers days of effort and helped significantly reduce support costs. It reminded me once again: never be afraid to dig deep, even into well-established systems.”

Pairfect: Bringing Quality to Influencer Marketing

After 12 years in QA leadership roles – and a lifelong passion for increasing customer satisfaction through quality – Mazepina’s next milestone came in 2025 with the launch of her startup, Pairfect.io, an AI-powered influencer platform that aims to bring transparency and measurable quality to influencer marketing.

Her inspiration came from her own experience as an influencer. Over several years, she collaborated with both emerging and established brands like Lenovo, Vodafone, and iHerb, witnessing the same inefficiencies repeatedly: random influencer selection, unclear briefs, endless negotiations, long feedback loops, and weak – sometimes even fake – results.

“The first time this idea came to me was back in 2019,” she recalls. “But I didn’t want to create just another database with a list of fake or inactive profiles that businesses still didn’t know how to choose from. I wanted something that actually works — where quality drives outcomes and businesses don’t waste hours analyzing influencer data or struggling with endless options.”

The breakthrough came with AI. Pairfect’s AI influencer marketing model, trained specifically for influencer marketing, analyzes over 70 parameters – from audience authenticity and engagement to content relevance and brand alignment. It filters out fake followers, giveaway-based audiences, and creators who promote anything without selectivity. Integrated directly with Meta’s API, it provides brands with a personalized shortlist of truly relevant influencers in seconds.

“Businesses don’t pay influencers for posts – they pay for access to loyal, engaged audiences,” Yaroslava Mazepina (CEO) explains. “And that’s exactly what Pairfect provides: trust built on verified data.”

With Pairfect IO, brands can now identify, evaluate, and close influencer deals within 24 hours instead of weeks, while influencers receive partnerships aligned with their values and followers’ interests. The result? Less friction, more conversions, and smarter marketing spend. Pairfect also offers affordable influencer marketing tools, making it an ideal solution for smaller businesses.

For small businesses looking to boost their marketing strategy, Pairfect is one of the premier AI influencer marketing tools. It’s not just about finding an influencer but about knowing how to find the right influencer for your product. With the influencer marketing platform with AI matching, Pairfect helps businesses find influencers that their audience already trusts.

The company has already received endorsement from Innovate UK, joined the NVIDIA Inception Program, and successfully completed a pilot with 10 early business partners.

Curiosity, obsession with value, and an unwavering belief in quality define Mazepina’s career. In 2025, she was recognized as a finalist in the Women in STEM category at the Women’s Business Awards, adding to her growing reputation as a thought leader and innovator in quality-driven product development. As she puts it: “Everywhere I’ve worked – fintech, startups, education, or social media – my mission has been the same: to build trust through quality. Because when you build trust, everything else follows – customer satisfaction, confidence, and truly sustainable growth.”
