The perspicacity of someone like Gandhi would not be immediately apparent if one is first acquainted with him through his social media. With a handle like “@partywithgandhi,” and photos of a young, happy, easygoing chap with a charming smile on his profile, it would be quite a surprise to learn that they are actually looking at a multi-millionaire CEO in the fast-growing renewable energy, construction, and hospitality industry.
Like many entrepreneurs before him, Gandhi’s success did not happen overnight and certainly did not come at all easy. Growing up with a single mother and having had to live in his own car at some points in his life, he had to learn creative ways to make ends meet for himself.
“Grind, hustle, smile” was his motto, he said. Having faced hardships and betrayal from friends, Gandhi understands the value of discipline and consistency, especially as a leader. As such, the company revenue grew 46% in 2022.
Gandhi started Echelon Solar Power in 2019, expanding annually to various subsidiary divisions to increase margins for the business as well as its sales representatives. He describes the Costa Mesa-based company as one that helps homeowners “take control of their rising electricity costs and start generating cleaner, price-protected power.”
With high-quality service and sustainable products as an essential pillar of the company, Echelon Solar Power goes as far as to promise a 25-year production guarantee on their solar power systems – promising repairs and reimbursements in the unlikely event that component parts fail at the company’s fault.
Gandhi has expanded the Echelon brand to beyond renewable energy, with subsidiary companies Echelon Roofing, Echelon Electrical, and Echelon Hospitality Group.
From living in his own car to sustainably powering the homes of others for generations to come, Gandhi’s multi-millionaire status is one that is unquestionably deserved. When asked how he uses his powerful story to inspire others, he simply replies, “I want them to learn that hustle, heart, and grind can lead to success, they just need to be consistent, disciplined, and able to make sacrifices drugs and alcohol for a few years.”
Plans are underway for more innovative undertakings. In fact, the brand is preparing to open up to more sectors by launching Echelon Home, focusing on construction and remodeling as well as officially expanding its solar operations to the east coast specifically in New Jersey and Massachusetts.
“We have expanded our operations to roofing in 2022, which did well over seven figures in just one year of operation. This year, we just launched our electrical division, which focuses primarily on electrical upgrades to a home where a combination of panel wiring, breakers, or fuses are replaced. This replacement results in increased energy management efficiency of your home through a main panel upgrade,” the founder shared.
