In a world that often still glamorizes hustle, Aarti Anand is quietly encouraging a shift in mindset – one automation at a time. Through her company, Kodenyx AI, she’s working with B2B founders and CEOs to reduce operational burden and explore ways to build businesses that run with less daily oversight. Not eventually—potentially now, depending on their systems.
“I enjoy working with people who are lazy—because they tend to value their time more than their money,” Aarti says. That’s the kind of statement that draws attention. But for Aarti Anand, it’s not just a line—it’s a perspective, a filter, and a guidepost.
After 15 years as a product leader building software for other companies, Aarti found herself at a pivotal point. She had the skills, the experience, and the drive, but what she wanted wasn’t simply traditional success. It was a form of sovereignty that better aligned with her life. As a mother of three, a daughter to aging parents, and someone who finds joy in long runs and good books, Aarti aimed to build something sustainable and supportive of her values.
Her solution wasn’t to step back—it was to scale more efficiently, using AI.
“We live in an age where anyone with a skill set and an internet connection may have the opportunity to design more autonomy,” she says. “But many entrepreneurs unintentionally build themselves into a more demanding role rather than designing for flexibility.”
The Workflow-First CEO
At the core of Aarti’s message is a call to rethink priorities. Instead of asking “What do I need to do today?,” she encourages leaders to ask, “What can be automated, delegated, or eliminated so I can focus only on the areas that energize me and drive results?”
She teaches CEOs to use a method she refers to as the “Drip Matrix,” a framework influenced by Dan Martell’s Buy Back Your Time. The goal is to identify high-effort, low-leverage tasks that could be transitioned to AI agents.
And a benefit of AI agents? They’re built for consistency—they don’t experience fatigue, emotional fluctuations, or lapses in follow-through.
“Many business owners don’t have a lead generation problem,” Aarti suggests. “Often, it’s a follow-up or lead nurturing issue. AI can help streamline those gaps—when properly configured and supported by human insight.”
Training AI Agents with Brand Voice in Mind
Aarti’s approach blends technical design with brand alignment. Her team doesn’t just deploy agents—they aim to infuse them with emotional intelligence, tone, and company-specific nuance.
From real estate to SaaS, the agents are trained on structured data and contextual cues, such as SOPs, communication preferences, and customer journey flows, to improve the quality of customer interactions.
In one example, Aarti’s team partnered with a client focused on a single product feature. Through layered automation and AI-driven data analysis, the client was able to reposition the offering as part of a larger workflow ecosystem.
This contributed to elevated client perception and helped position the brand more strategically in enterprise conversations. The company later secured a contract structure with recurring revenue and expanded reach. While correlation doesn’t confirm causation, the shift in positioning played a meaningful role in unlocking new opportunities.
“The intent isn’t to replace human interaction,” Aarti clarifies. “It’s to allow more time and space to be present for the interactions that matter most.”
Redefining Laziness as Strategic Leverage
To Aarti, “laziness” is shorthand for leverage. It’s a mindset that resists equating busyness with success and recognizes that automation can support a more intentional life.
That’s also the spirit behind her newsletter, The AI First CEO, which blends commentary on automation with leadership philosophy. It’s not just about software—it’s about exploring smarter ways to lead.
“You don’t always need more hours,” she says. “Often, what’s needed are better systems. Ideally, a business should be able to function—even while you’re recharging.”
Grounded in a Personal Vision of Freedom
Despite her technical expertise, Aarti’s goal remains grounded in a very human motivation: freedom.
Freedom to be present with her kids while they’re still young. Freedom to support aging parents with time, not just money. Freedom to run her company in a way that aligns with her personal vision—and to help others build businesses that offer similar flexibility.
Through Kodenyx AI, she’s aiming to embed that vision into every client engagement. It’s not just about automation. It’s about reclaiming time, energy, and autonomy in a world that often demands more than it gives.
