From a young age, Tyrone Jackson had a flair for captivating audiences. Whether it was an impromptu performance or simply entertaining his friends, Jackson’s passion for the spotlight was undeniable. “I always loved performing,” Jackson recalls. “If there was a crowd, no matter where, I saw them as an audience waiting to be entertained.” This early enthusiasm would eventually fuel a career that has made Jackson a prominent figure in the entertainment news industry. Today, he is the creator and host of Hot in Hollywood, a show that offers a fresh, multicultural perspective on everything from blockbuster movies to indie gems.
Jackson’s gift for storytelling was evident early on. “As a teenager, I could always tell stories that kept everyone hooked,” he says. But it was in junior high school, during his time in the drama program, that he first envisioned a future in entertainment. “That was the turning point for me,” he reflects. “I realized then that I wanted to be a professional performer.” This realization set him on a path that would take him from the stage to the screen, and later, into the world of production and content creation.
A key stepping stone in his journey was his time at New York’s iconic High School of Performing Arts, the very institution that inspired the hit film Fame. “It was an incredible experience,” Jackson says. “I studied with some of the many talented kids in the city, many of whom went on to become stars in Hollywood and on Broadway.” The competitive and creative environment of the school honed his skills and stoked his ambition.

However, like many in the industry, Jackson’s career was not without its challenges. His most valuable lesson? The importance of owning your content. “One of my biggest realizations was that in show business, if you don’t own your content, you’re just an employee moving from gig to gig,” he explains. This understanding shifted Jackson’s approach, leading him to create and own Hot in Hollywood, ensuring his voice and vision remained at the forefront.
Moving from performer to content creator wasn’t easy, and Jackson quickly learned that being a producer came with its own set of demands. “As a producer, you need a vision for every show you develop, but you also need to know how to pitch that vision to networks or distributors,” he says. “It’s not just about creating; you also have to be a salesperson in this business.” His skill in both creating and pitching ideas is what eventually helped Hot in Hollywood rise to prominence.
Hot in Hollywood didn’t become a success overnight. What set the show apart was its unique approach to entertainment news, showcasing Hollywood blockbusters alongside smaller, independent films. “We celebrate diversity in front of and behind the camera,” Jackson notes. “So many of today’s top creators come from diverse backgrounds, and our show highlights that.” This commitment to inclusivity has helped the show carve out a niche in the competitive world of entertainment reporting.
One of Jackson’s key goals is to keep the show dynamic and engaging, not only by covering a wide range of Hollywood projects but by connecting with audiences on a personal level. “People are naturally curious about the lives of celebrities,” he says. “They want to know what their favorite stars eat, drink, and how they maintain their looks. That kind of curiosity is timeless.” Jackson’s relatable hosting style taps into that curiosity, building a loyal viewership that sees him as a trusted guide through the glitz and glamor of Hollywood.

In an industry that’s constantly evolving, Jackson knows the importance of staying ahead of the game. Social media, streaming platforms, and on-demand content have transformed how audiences consume entertainment news. Jackson is ready to meet these changes head-on. “News travels fast now, and audiences want more than just headlines—they want the full story,” he explains. To meet this demand, Jackson plans to launch the Hot in Hollywood TV app in 2025. “Once you download the app, you’ll have 24/7 access to entertainment news, celebrity gossip, and podcasts—all free of charge.”
Jackson’s vision for the future doesn’t stop there. He’s also developing five hundred new channels, each offering original content. “In today’s world, a well-designed app is like owning your own television network,” Jackson says. “I see myself thriving in that space.” His ambition to dominate the digital landscape underscores his drive to continually innovate and expand his reach.
Though Jackson is widely recognized for his on-screen charisma, his passion for working behind the scenes is just as strong. “I love every aspect of creating a new show,” he shares. “From coming up with the idea to building the set and casting the talent, it’s a process that I find incredibly rewarding.” For Jackson, casting the right performers is key to a show’s success, as he believes the right ensemble brings a production to life in ways that deeply resonate with audiences.
Despite his busy schedule, Jackson remains grounded, balancing his professional life with personal passions. “Outside of entertainment, cooking is what I love,” he reveals. “There’s something magical about blending flavors and setting a beautiful table.” This love for culinary creativity mirrors his approach to producing: blending the right ingredients to create something truly special.
Tyrone Jackson is not just a host or a producer—he’s a visionary shaping the future of entertainment, one story at a time.
