Led by His Royal Highness Prince Fahad bin Mansour bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and officially represented by NEOM as the main strategic partner, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia delegation has arrived in Brazil for the Startup20 Summit, an important entrepreneurship investment platform for G20 member states.

Taking place in São Paulo from September 9–13, 2024, the Startup20 Summit aims to strengthen collaboration between Saudi Arabia and Brazil in supporting entrepreneurship and investing in startups, with a special focus on innovation and the challenges entrepreneurs face in global markets.

Prince Fahad bin Mansour bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, head of the Saudi delegation, said: “We are proud to represent the Kingdom at the Startup20 Summit, an important international platform for promoting innovation and sharing expertise among G20 member states. Through our participation, we aim to contribute to building a global ecosystem that supports entrepreneurship and enhances its ability to address challenges.”

Prince Fahad also emphasized NEOM’s pioneering role as a Saudi destination centered on innovation. “NEOM’s exceptional projects attract the brightest minds and best talents worldwide, providing an ideal environment for entrepreneurs and innovators across all sectors. NEOM offers professionals, startups, and major companies a unique opportunity to achieve exceptional success through participation in its development,” he said.

“NEOM is not just a futuristic region; it is a comprehensive vision for the future. It seeks to create an innovative and sustainable economy that addresses the most urgent challenges of our time by fostering a culture of creativity and embracing unconventional solutions,” he added.

The Saudi delegation includes representatives from various government, private and non-profit sectors, alongside some of the Kingdom’s leading entrepreneurs and investors. Saudi Arabia’s participation at the summit marks a significant step toward achieving the goals of Vision 2030, which focuses on enhancing innovation and growing the economy through increased contributions from small and medium-sized enterprises. The event also provides an opportunity to attract investments to the Kingdom, showcase successful entrepreneurship experiences and highlight the Kingdom’s efforts to facilitate investment opportunities for startups.

Saudi participation includes a dedicated side event exhibition that highlights the Saudi entrepreneurship ecosystem, with contributions from government, private and non-profit organizations. A series of panel discussions at the forum will bring together global and local experts to exchange ideas and insights on best practices for supporting innovation and overcoming challenges faced by entrepreneurs.

NEOM’s strategic participation in the Startup20 Summit includes its role as an official sponsor of the Saudi side event. The strategic step supports NEOM’s vision of building promising communities that attract the most exceptional minds, visionary entrepreneurs and top investors. At the Saudi side event, NEOM will showcase its diverse array of projects and highlight opportunities available for investors, startups and entrepreneurs.
