Making a name for yourself is no easy feat in today’s world, but for Donald Elvin Robinson Jr. or better known as his stage name, Motivation, this is just another challenge he’s willing to face and conquer. Born with intrinsic courage and a distinctive charisma, this 25-year-old is willing to move mountains to achieve his goals.

Motivation was born on November 25, 1995, in Philadelphia, United States—a melting pot of immense talent and enormous dreams. He continues to enjoy basketball, and at some point in his life, he ran track. Maybe it’s the water or Motivation’s never-say-die attitude that catapulted him to the man he is today. Raised by his mother and father in an unpretentious environment, the Philadelphian native is all too familiar with the hardships that plague life and the baggage that came along with it. But, of course, for Motivation, this was only a tiny part of life, and he knew from the get-go that he was meant for something even more extraordinary.

After attending high school in Roxborough High in 2014, he went on to study business at Indiana University of Pennsylvania for two years before taking a chance on himself and deciding to go for a more hands-on experience in entrepreneurship. He managed his father’s properties and businesses in no time, achieving the experience he craved that college could never offer. This endeavor unlocked many opportunities for Motivation, who continued to work for his father for four fruitful years.

Determined to make a name for himself, Motivation made his very own music label: Black Arts Records. From here, he hopes to launch a successful music career to give back to the community by purchasing land and providing homes for low-income families in safe areas. One might think these are merely big dreams forged by a wide-eyed 25-year-old rap and hip-hop artist, but Motivation is not naïve—he knows what he wants, and he’s not afraid to get it. After all, he’s pretty familiar with the hustle, being able to witness how his father and grandfather ran multiple successful businesses ever since he was young.

With his resilience and creativity, he was able to launch another successful business venture: the Mental Motivation Ebooks, a place where people can find ebooks that would help them improve various aspects of their lives, cope with their stress, build more brainpower, and fix credit scores so they can have a chance to purchase a house for their families or utilize it to invest.

Motivation believes that he’s changing the game with innovative content, including his music and inspirational literary pieces. Despite being new to the corporate world, he knows that his hard work and dedication will help him continue to inspire others and give to those in need. For him, engaging in business is not all about the money or the fame; he built his brand in the belief that he will help people succeed in their journeys.
