October 1, 2022 (HOUSTON, TX) – Houston-based MacGeorge Law Firm announced today that they had won a whopping $4.5 million judgment against a non-paying tenant on behalf of their client Jetall Companies’ Ali Choudhri. MacGeorge, a certified Women’s Business Enterprise, specializes in commercial landlord and tenant representation and was satisfied with this judgment.
After Covid, real estate investment firm Jetall Companies gave tenants an opportunity to catch up on past due bills, recognizing the extreme challenges many businesses faced during the crisis. Most tenants eventually caught up, but the tenant in question, a law firm called the Shanks Law Firm, continued to make excuse after excuse, failing to make any good-faith attempts at reconciliation. That is when the decision was made to pursue the judgment.
Jennifer MacGeorge said, “The $4.5 million judgment against the tenant, who also happened to be a law firm, rightfully compensates Jetall for the years of excuses and invoice dodging perpetrated by the tenant while using legal means to avoid appropriate remuneration.”
