Who are the owners of Huntsman Transport?
When duty calls, some rise above, and a few build something extraordinary.
Joseph and Robyn Crisp are the powerhouse duo behind Huntsman Transport, leading with a blend of military precision and unwavering heart—redefining prisoner transport through discipline, commitment, and grit.
Joseph Crisp is the Founder and CEO of Huntsman Transport. After high school, he joined the Marine Corps and deployed twice to Afghanistan, where he participated in Special Operations. During his time in uniform included survived IEDs, firefights, and later standing at attention at Arlington Cemetery as part of the ceremonial unit for the White House.
After over a decade of service, Joseph came home determined to give back not just to the country, but to fellow veterans who, like him, needed a mission after military life.
Joseph founded Huntsman Transport with a dual mission: to deliver secure, efficient prisoner transport and to offer veterans and like-minded individuals a renewed sense of purpose. Today, the company operates under a strict ‘zero fail’ policy, executing prisoner transfers across the U.S. and beyond with military-grade precision and planning.
But while Joseph built the mission, Robyn Crisp built the engine behind it. As Director of Administration, she manages operations with the same rigor she used in the Army, where she served as a Radar Operator and later as the Non-Commissioned Officer In Charge (NCOIC) of Administration for over 270 soldiers. Her presence is the backbone of Huntsman Transport’s internal systems, since she always follows her mission of serving with excellence.
The Strategist Behind the Scenes: Chance Roark
A mission this complex can’t be carried out by two people alone—strong leadership is essential to keeping it moving forward, no matter the circumstances. Enter Chance Roark, Director of Operations, whose military-honed leadership and steadfast dedication make him uniquely suited for the role. A U.S. Army veteran and former Mortarman with the 4th Infantry Division’s 2nd Brigade Combat Team, Chance deployed to Afghanistan in 2018, executing high-stakes missions with precision and gaining critical leadership insight from some of the military’s finest.
Chance’s military service instilled in him a deep sense of pride, sharp situational awareness, and an unwavering commitment to mission success—qualities that continue to shape his leadership today. After transitioning from the Army, he set out to keep serving, channeling his experience into building a strong, purpose-driven environment for veterans and like-minded professionals. Through a culture rooted in discipline, teamwork, and excellence, Chance empowers every team member to perform at their best, with the same drive and focus he brought to the battlefield.
Jonathan Harrell: The Bridge between Agents and Departments
Jonathan Harrell, the Transport Coordinator, embodies the precision and resolve of a 23-year veteran Airborne Infantryman, whose extensive military service shapes his exceptional leadership in prisoner extradition operations. With combat deployments to Iraq, Afghanistan, and Kosovo, Jonathan honed mission-critical skills in direct-action raids, high-value target captures, and secure detainee escorts to detention facilities. His expertise in target acquisition, risk mitigation, situational awareness, and rapid decision-making seamlessly translates to the high-stakes demands of transporting violent offenders and high-priority individuals.
At the core of his work is an unrelenting commitment to precision, accountability, and operational integrity, values forged in the military and now driving the company’s mission. Jonathan fosters a disciplined, safety-first environment where veterans and like-minded professionals thrive, ensuring every transport is executed with the same rigor as a battlefield operation.
As he puts it, “When it comes to high-priority targets, this company doesn’t flinch, we execute. Our mission is simple: move with precision, operate with integrity, and never compromise safety. We aren’t just transporting prisoners, we’re safeguarding justice.”
The Formation of a Brotherhood: Teddy
Huntsman isn’t just a workplace. It’s a haven for veterans. Joseph, who lost over half his original platoon to suicide, built Huntsman as a place of belonging. Here, veterans work with a sense of pride and purpose, knowing their service still matters.
The team includes combat-trained veterans and one very special Marine: Teddy Swollsevelt Crisp, the morale dog. Teddy’s credentials include:
- Training at Quantico
- Serving at the White House
- Traveling on Air Force One
- Providing emotional support and occasional security during high-risk transports
Teddy’s presence reminds everyone that strength doesn’t always come with a uniform; sometimes it comes with paws.
