What: ABOAB 5th Anniversary Pop-Up Event

ABOAB, NYC’s beloved contemporary jewelry brand, is celebrating its 5th anniversary with a two-day pop-up event in the city. This exciting celebration will bring all eight of ABOAB’s stunning collections (Intimacy, In Tent, Phase, Sense of Touch, Subtle, Ten Chi, Sculpting, and Surround) together in one place, showcasing their artistry, craftsmanship, and modern designs. From elegant necklaces and timeless bracelets to minimalist rings and earrings, this is a must-attend event for fashion lovers and jewelry enthusiasts alike.

Discover New Collection: AW24 “SURROUND” 

The ABOAB AW24 collection draws its name from Hiroshi Yoshimura’s 1986 ambient music work Surround. Yoshimura envisioned his music as a seamless part of the listener’s daily life, stating that “the music should not be an obstacle to conversation but in the same family of sounds as the vibration of footsteps, the hum of an air conditioner, or the clanging of a spoon inside a coffee cup.”

Based on the concept of “surround,” this collection explores the intimate relationships between humans and objects, as well as between humans and spaces. Inspired by Yoshimura’s soft, delicate, and thought-provoking musical language, the designer creates a series of silver enwrapping gold. Through intertwining and enveloping forms, the collection reflects on the subtle dependencies and emotional connections that arise between individuals and their surroundings, as well as between the human body and jewelry.

“After launching our recent AW24 collection, I received so much love and encouragement from friends in my inbox,” said K Li, creative director at ABOAB on her growth in the brand. “They can picture themselves wearing these pieces for years to come, which makes the collection feel both impactful and timeless.”
