How Linda Washington Uses Creativity to Help People With Cancer

Receiving a cancer diagnosis is probably one of the most heartbreaking experiences anyone can have; this is something that Linda Washington knows firsthand. Because of this, the breast cancer survivor has made it her mission to provide inspiration and strength to those who are battling the disease.

As someone who has gone through the excruciating and demanding journey of fighting cancer, Linda has seen how people can quickly change. She has heard harsh words from others who claim that she is no longer a real woman. Yet, despite these painful memories, the inspiring woman did not become bitter.

Instead, she is dedicating her life to helping cancer patients and their family members who may be going through a similar situation as her. First off, she created Strength Of Survivors, a blog where she writes encouraging snippets for individuals who may be losing hope. In addition, she has also written and performed the song “Love Again,” featuring Superstar Lamar, who has been with her through her hardest moments.

The incredible woman recently launched several projects, including the Kindle version of her book Forbidden And Broken Finding Love Behind The Scars, which is available on Amazon. The biography chronicles her touching yet gut-wrenching journey from pretreatment life filled with hopes and dreams to post-treatment life riddled with rejection and empty sympathetic looks.

On top of that, she also rolled out her new single called “Need Love,” which features Superstar Lamar. Embedded in the lyrics and mantra of the song are her feelings for all the breast cancer patients.

In all of her releases and endeavors, Linda Washington stands by her conviction: Be loved for who you are, not what you went through. This is the exact principle that helped the extraordinary individual overcome her sad past.

Over the course of ten years, she has consistently worked on transforming herself for the better, from a pile of rejections, self diffidence, and insecurities to being a best-selling author, singer, and a figure who appeared on billboards in New York.

Now, Linda Washington has become a beacon of hope for cancer patients, survivors, and their families. She has also created a highly successful profile and is recognized as one of the notable personalities representing cancer patients and survivors.

When asked what motivates her to pursue her advocacies, the brilliant survivor candidly shared, “My music is about what I went through when I decided to date again, being beaten and belittled, being told I need to get used to this because I wasn’t a real woman anymore and that no one would ever want me. And that scared my soul that I gave up on dating for ten years and still counting. So I just don’t want anyone else to go through the hell I did.”

Moving forward, Linda Washington remains steadfast in her mission of making a significant impact and a lasting difference in women’s lives, especially those who have fought or are currently fighting against cancer. Moreover, the creative woman plans to use creative avenues such as songs and books to reach out to the community.
