Opening a new specialty practice takes more than clinical training. It demands vision, strategic investment, and a willingness to challenge long-standing assumptions about how specialty care should be delivered. For Dr. Yigit Gol, founder of Evolve Endodontics in Westhampton Beach, success isn’t measured by the number of patients seen in a day. It’s measured by the quality of care each patient receives.

That philosophy has shaped every aspect of Evolve Endodontics, from the technology inside the practice to the patient experience itself. While many dental offices continue to rely on traditional methods, Dr. Gol built his practice around the belief that modern technology and evidence-based treatment belong at the center of specialty care.

“Endodontics has advanced significantly over the last few decades,” says Dr. Gol. “We believe patients deserve the benefits of modern dentistry, which is why we invest in state-of-the-art technology, advanced diagnostics, and contemporary treatment techniques.”

Among the practice’s most significant investments are three-dimensional CBCT imaging and dental operating microscopes, two technologies that have changed how complex root canal cases are approached. Rather than relying solely on traditional two-dimensional X-rays, CBCT produces a detailed three-dimensional view of a tooth and the surrounding anatomy.

Microscopic magnification gives the clinician a much closer view of the interior of the tooth during treatment. Both are established tools in contemporary specialty endodontics.

For Dr. Gol, however, innovation isn’t about purchasing the latest equipment. It’s about creating a better decision-making process.

“A proper diagnosis is the foundation of exceptional endodontic care,” he explains. “Tooth pain can have many causes, and every case deserves careful investigation. My goal is to identify the true source of the problem and recommend the treatment that is most appropriate for that patient.”

That mindset extends beyond clinical care and into the business itself. Evolve Endodontics was intentionally designed to support thoughtful, individualized treatment rather than high-volume production. Every recommendation begins with an honest discussion of available options, expected outcomes, and long-term prognosis.

“I would never recommend root canal treatment if I believe the long-term outlook is unfavorable,” says Dr. Gol. “My commitment is not simply to perform root canals. It is to recommend the treatment that offers each patient the greatest chance for long-term oral health.”

The decision to establish Evolve Endodontics in Westhampton Beach was equally strategic. For years, many residents of Long Island’s East End traveled significant distances to receive specialty endodontic care. By opening closer to those communities, Dr. Gol saw an opportunity to improve access while bringing advanced specialty services to an underserved region.

While technology often captures attention, Dr. Gol believes the future of dentistry will be defined by how technology and human judgment work together.

“Technology is no longer simply a convenience; it is becoming the standard of care,” he says.

Advanced imaging, magnification, digital workflows, and evidence-based technique now shape how specialists across the field approach diagnosis and treatment planning.

That philosophy reflects a broader shift occurring across healthcare, where patients increasingly expect transparency, personalization, and measurable quality. Dr. Gol believes clinicians have a responsibility to stay current with advancing technology, and also to ensure patients fully understand their diagnosis and treatment options before making important healthcare decisions.

As Evolve Endodontics begins serving patients across Long Island, Dr. Gol hopes his practice will demonstrate that innovation is not simply about adopting new technology. Instead, it is about using every available tool to build lasting trust and preserve natural teeth whenever possible.

“I hope to leave behind a legacy of trust, compassion, and excellence,” Dr. Gol says. “More than anything, I hope patients and referring doctors remember that they could always trust me to recommend what was truly in their best interest.”
