“More…More…More…” is a thought-provoking and emotional Pilot Presentation that explores the challenges faced by an aspiring screenwriter named Joe. The title encapsulates the protagonist’s constant pursuit for success, despite enduring rejection upon rejection and the unrelenting demand for “MORE” from industry professionals. Despite facing persistent disappointment, Joe maintains his resolve to carve out a place for himself in the competitive world of screenwriting.

It’s an adult short film/pilot aimed at fans of film and television, exploring the intricacies of what it takes to succeed in Hollywood. Many viewers have noted its striking resemblance to the reality of Hollywood, which could stir controversy, and I’m excited about that prospect. Others have expressed gratitude for its candid portrayal of the industry’s truths.

It’s a satirical exploration of the film industry, shedding light on the individuals whose faces remain unseen by the public, whose names are never discussed around the water cooler—the unsung heroes of the film industry.

Transforming a project that began as a two-minute skit, penned by Joel LaFlamme in under 90 seconds on a Wednesday, into a fully realized production by the following Sunday was quite the whirlwind. Upon being told that there was potential in the short skit, we embarked on the journey of expanding it into a 32-page script, filming, editing, and submitting to festivals, all within the span of a month. What a ride it has been! Receiving this award reaffirms my belief that we had something truly special from the start.

The total awards earned now exceed 50 in the festival circuit. The project’s received accolades underscore its quality. Comedy is consistently popular, and this project’s success is evident in the laughter and understanding it elicits from audiences. What’s more, this short/pilot it offers a distinctive format: it can be enjoyed as either a full-length feature or as a 30-minute comedy series, with the pilot serving as the first act of the feature. While a feature film format would be wonderful, a series of 8 episodes would offer the opportunity to truly delve into the characters and their world, fleshing out much more of the inner workings of Hollywood in a satirical format. This versatility enhances its appeal and distinguishes it within the entertainment industry.

Brad Banacka, Co-Creator, Director, Editor, Executive Producer and Lead Actor

Brad Banacka is an award-winning Actor, Director, and Producer with a lifelong commitment to the entertainment industry. His journey began at the age of 6 in community theater, later expanding into owning the largest DJ/Karaoke Company in the Midwest during his 20s. Despite his early successes, Brad continued to hone his craft in community theater until a pivotal moment a decade ago when he made the leap to Hollywood.

Brad’s Hollywood career commenced as an extra on the Danny Glover film “The Shift,” where he cultivated relationships and swiftly ascended to the role of 2nd 2nd assistant director, while also securing a small on-screen role. Since then, Brad has amassed over 60 credits as an actor and has ventured into production, contributing to beloved horror titles such as “Beyond the Gates of Hell,” as Father Tom. A role he has reprised on “Spider Baby: the new 2024 remake also “Apex Predators 2,” “Closet Monster,” “Bubba the Series,”, “The Last Roommate.”, “Angels Never Cry” and many more further solidifying his multifaceted presence in the entertainment industry.

This marks Brad’s inaugural foray into directing, and he approached the endeavor with a clear vision: to authentically capture the essence of the characters by mirroring the personalities of the actors. This approach facilitated a seamless transition for the actors to embody their roles, allowing them to naturally be themselves on screen.

Joel LaFlamme, Co-Creator, Lead Writer and Producer

Joel LaFlamme, a Canadian screenwriter, boasts a diverse background, having been adopted at birth and raised in Edmonton, Alberta. His repertoire spans across various genres, including horror, action, comedy, and dramatic biopics, encompassing both feature-length films and sitcom-length series. With an unwavering determination, Joel fearlessly tackles any genre that piques his interest.

Presently, Joel finds himself with multiple projects at different stages of production, eagerly anticipating the opportunity to bring his visions to life in the near future.

In addition to his pursuits in the film industry, Joel made waves in an unexpected arena during the 2021 Major League Baseball season. Operating under the TikTok alias Hey_Commy, Joel exposed a league-wide cheating scandal that implicated numerous pitchers using illegal substances to manipulate baseballs. His videos garnered nearly 70 million views, prompting significant rule changes that will forever alter the landscape of baseball. Joel’s remarkable ability to effect change extends beyond the realms of storytelling, demonstrating his impact in unexpected spheres of influence.

I am incredibly honored that Brad invited me to be part of this short comedy series. I enthusiastically jumped on board and perhaps even pushed Brad a little too quickly to start shooting. However, it truly speaks to Brad’s talent that he was able to manage everything so efficiently. Casting such an amazing ensemble within the limited time we had felt like a miracle. Our cast and crew, who were not only talented but also kind and dedicated, worked tirelessly as a team. I feel privileged to be involved in this project both as an actress and as an executive producer. Feeling truly blessed!

The project materialized under Brad’s exceptional vision; he championed this small idea all the way to the Red Carpet. The response exceeded my wildest dreams. My deepest gratitude goes to the incredible cast of actors who brought the words to life and the dedicated crew who tirelessly contributed to the effort.

Rohit Govardhanam, a seasoned producer, brought his expertise in navigating the festival circuit proved invaluable, strategically positioning the project for maximum exposure and recognition. His keen insight and strategic planning were pivotal in securing screenings and accolades at prestigious festivals, further elevating the project’s profile and cementing its status as a standout in the industry.
