E. Barnett, Best selling Author, the owner and president of iTV, is a distinguished African American woman from New Orleans, Louisiana, standing at the helm of this innovative platform. Her journey is a testament to resilience, faith, and the power of transformation. Raised as a preacher’s kid, Barnett’s life has been shaped by her unwavering faith in God, which provided her strength through numerous personal trials and heartbreaks. From enduring the loss of a child to surviving a catastrophic hurricane that left her temporarily wheelchair-bound for nearly two years, Barnett attributes her resilience to the grace of God, which empowered her to rise above adversity with determination.
Barnett’s multifaceted career began as a model signed with Model Masters, Inc. in New Orleans, where she represented renowned brands such as Mr. Clean, Swiffer, Budweiser, and Jack Daniels. Concurrently, she worked at a law office in downtown New Orleans.Eventually landing a position at a community based program that started under the administration of a former Louisiana State Senator serving the 24th District.Â
Later moving to Miami, Florida where she had a mentor relationship with Cedella Marley-Booker, the mother of the Late great Bob Marley, that began some time in the early 1990’s where she would often visit when in town and spent the summer at the home of Bob Marley having the privilege to record in the very same studio that Bob himself wrote the hit record “No Woman, No cry”. Â
She also worked briefly with the well known reggae label Black Shadow records, known for producing some of the biggest names in reggae, such as Sean Paul, Buju Banton and many more.
Music soon became a pivotal part of her life, rekindling a passion nurtured from her early days in church, where she sang on her father’s Sunday radio programs and learned to play the drums. This passion led her to become a background singer for blues artist Kenne Wayne, where she opened for legendary figures like Johnny Taylor, Betty Wright, Tyrone Davis, and BB King. Transitioning into hip-hop, she co-produced an album with a Louisiana-based group and collaborated with artists from Houston, Texas, eventually connecting with a prominent figure in the hip-hop industry.
Recognizing her talent and affinity behind the camera, Barnett pivoted to film production, ultimately establishing her own talent agency and film production company. She also earned the current role of Consultant for a mainstream film production company located in Hollywood, California. In June 2024, she premiered her debut film, “Beyond The Glove,” which explores untold facets of Michael Jackson’s life, featuring insights from his brother Jermaine Jackson, legal secretary Geraldine Hughes, former manager Dieter Wiesner, body double Valentino Johnson, and art teacher Dr. Ronald McDowell. This compelling film is available on iTV via the Roku platform, further cementing iTV’s commitment to delivering exclusive and impactful content.

Looking ahead, Barnett is preparing to unveil her next significant project, “The Real Hurricane Katrina.” This upcoming film promises to reveal the untold truths and personal reflections on the aftermath of the devastating natural disaster. Featuring Charmaine Neville, niece of the iconic singer Aaron Neville, the film aims to shed light on critical, overlooked narratives from this defining moment in history. Barnett’s dedication to uncovering and sharing powerful stories continues to distinguish iTV as a leader in original and compelling programming.
What sets iTV apart from its competitors is its diverse range of exclusive original content, including series, documentaries, and special programming that are not available elsewhere. By focusing on spiritual connections and highlighting current and upcoming film releases, iTV remains committed to providing content that resonates deeply with its audience, fostering a sense of connection and understanding.
