Ever feel like the business world is just one big, chaotic mess? You’re not alone. Even the co-founder of Distrivision, a wholesale distributor of Shapewear, Lingerie, Activewear, and Body & Garment care, feels the same way sometimes. However, she’s learned how to stay grounded amid all the craziness.

In this article, Katherine shares her insights on how to stay grounded in a chaotic business world. By keeping your priorities straight and staying flexible, you can weather any storm that comes your way.

Perseverance and growth

If you want to succeed in the business world, it is essential to have perseverance and always focus on continuing to grow. This means that even when things are chaotic, you must keep going and never give up. It also means that you should constantly be learning and improving yourself to stay ahead of the competition.

Katherine learned valuable business skills from her mother, the Founder of Distrivision, Maria Ruth Cuervo.

Despite facing numerous challenges and responsibilities from a young age, Maria Ruth was able to grow the family business from one location to three in their native country of Colombia. Drawing upon this experience, Katherine emphasizes the importance of perseverance in the face of obstacles and setbacks in the business world.

She said “It’s how you deal with them that counts.” If you’re feeling overwhelmed by the chaos of the business world, take a cue from Katherine and focus on the things that matter most to you. Whether it’s your family, faith, or personal growth, stay grounded in what matters, and you’ll weather any storm.

Seeing obstacles as opportunities

In business, it’s easy to get caught up in the daily grind and forget the big picture. It’s important to stay grounded and remember what you’re doing and why you’re doing it. For Katherine, that means seeing obstacles as opportunities. “In business, everything is constantly changing and evolving, so you have to be flexible and adaptable,” she says. “The key is to not be afraid of change or chaos, but to embrace it and see it as an opportunity.”

COVID-19 was a big obstacle for many businesses, and everyone was affected by it. No one could have known it would last as long as it did, but Katherine knew that she had to try to make the best out of it no matter what, which made a difference for her company. She quickly realized that the employees needed to work remotely, and less than half of her employees would go into the office. She adds on, “The concrete strategy was to put the employees at home remote work and then help them with the tools to keep the company running from home, and to make sure that they are safe. ”

She believes it’s important to always be learning and growing from the situation, both personally and professionally. “You can’t be afraid to take risks,” she says. “Don’t be afraid to put yourself out there and fail. It’s the only way you’re going to learn and grow.”

The company has overcome many challenges under her supervision, and it is now positioned as the number one distributor for a Colombian-made shapewear product, Delié by Fajas Diseños D’Prada, in the United States.

Putting others first

In a business world that is full of chaos, it can be easy to get caught up in trying to promote yourself and your interests. However, if you want to stay grounded and succeed, putting others first is crucial. This is something that Katherine has learned through her own experiences.

“If you want to be successful in business, you have to put others first. It’s not all about you and your interests. You have to be able to build relationships and trust with others.”

Katherine has found that by putting others first, she has been able to build strong relationships with clients and partners. This has allowed her to create a successful business despite the chaotic nature of the business world.

Trust and honesty are key

Katherine has seen firsthand how quickly the business world can change and knows that it’s not always easy to keep up. However, she believes that if you can maintain a trusting and honest relationship with your team, you’ll be able to weather any storm.

“If you’re not honest with each other, it’s very easy to get caught up in the chaos and start making decisions that aren’t in the best interest of the company,” she says. “But if you can trust each other and be honest with each other, you can make it through anything.”

Katherine also stresses the importance of keeping your team close-knit. She believes that strong relationships are essential to maintaining a successful business.

“You need to have a good team around you that you can trust and rely on,” she says. “Without that support, it’s very difficult to stay grounded amid chaos.”

Conclusion

There’s no question that the business world is full of chaos. Whether it’s the constantly changing landscape of the market or the never-ending stream of new technologies, it can be hard to keep up. But despite all the chaos, there are still ways to stay grounded and focused on what’s important. As the co-founder of Distrivision, Katherine Grullon has seen firsthand how businesses can thrive in chaotic environments.
