He has an incredible love for Christ and an ability to encourage people to seek that love.

About the wedding:

We started planning our trip back in October because we both had talked about Hawaii for years, but never stayed long enough to actually take it all in. It was a hard decision to leave everyone, knowing we were only going to be gone for a week, but it was so worth it! Our family was so excited for us. We had so much fun taking pictures and our families were able to enjoy the beaches together. The whole trip was full of laughs and memories that will never be forgotten.

Wedding ceremony: We got married on the beach by an amazing Christian minister named Lance Richards who also owns the Love Shack at Kamaole Beach 2 (Kauai). We got married at sunset with the waves crashing on the shore. We had such a great ceremony, and everything about it was perfect. It’s funny because I didn’t go with the flow of having my wedding on a beach, I had always pictured it in a church. But seeing how it turned out, I couldn’t imagine having our wedding any other place.

Wedding dress:

My dress was from my favorite place to shop for wedding dresses, a small bridal shop in Temple called Pure Romance. They have some great and unique gowns! Mine was actually a sample gown that they let me have for free! I just had to pay the sales tax, which was only $20. That was so nice!
I also had my bridesmaids dresses from there, and they were only $70 each. My sisters got their dresses at David’s Bridal, in Temple and theirs each cost $200-$300.
There’s a great little bridal shop in Temple called Pure Romance that many people should check out. We all went together to find my dress and my sister-in-laws found theirs there too.
Our rings were from Kay Jewelers. We got them from the clearance section.

About Wedding

Josh’s wedding ring is actually an old watch band of his dad’s that was cut off and put on a new ring. His band was incredibly special to us, and I wanted to incorporate it into our wedding bands somehow.
My necklace was from Charming Charlie’s in Temple. It was only $25, and I add the charms to show some special symbols in our relationship.
We had my two daughters with us for the whole week. We also invited my mom, brother, and sister-in-law. had a smaller party going on by the pool.
Our guests: Our families are so important to us and we could not have done this trip without them. My mom and I stayed at the Kauai Beach Marriott, while everyone else headed to the Fairmont Resort in Kapalua Hence
We had a ton of fun with our guests. Our friend, Steve, was more than happy to be our official photographer while we enjoyed each other’s company.
We bought an underwater camera for $60 from Costco on the island before renting a boat for the week.

We loved Kauai! The people were so nice and everyone was extremely helpful for everything we needed. I could go on about it for days. If you ever get a chance, I would highly recommend going to Kauai!
