“I have always had a love for chocolate,” Petriello reveals. “My passion for chocolate had culminated in 2009 when I decided to start learning how to make chocolate truffles. I then went on to learn the bean to bar process in 2015, starting my own bean to bar operation in my first apartment in Hoboken, NJ. I then was asked to be the head chocolate maker at a friend’s chocolate company in Seattle, Washington. So I decided to leave my corporate day job in human resources and move across the country to make chocolate,” he explains.
Every other Saturday, Chocotastery organizes a virtual chocolate tasting event that lasts for about two hours. The event features chocolate fundamentals, where it originates from, and how it is made. Aside from these, it also involves a guided chocolate tasting. In the same event, the company highlights four craft chocolate makers to enrich the overall customer experience.
