Cheetahs Are Going Extinct, and The Cheetah Gang NFT Looks to Save Them
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

In the fictitious world of one NFT-native storyline, Cheetahs are starting to face mass extinction, and they have no one else to blame but themselves. And in an attempt to save the feline species from destruction, one group called the Cheetah Gang hopes to preserve the lineage. Of course, this is all make-believe, but it’s got non-fungible token collectors enraptured as the NFT drop looms on the horizon.

Cheetah Gang is a collection of up to 10,000 Cheetah cartoon characters who have distinct looks and feels. Though they’re all based on the same three-quarter profile of a template Cheetah Cartoon, no two NFT icons look alike. That’s because the artist behind the character has invented over 10,000 permutations based on 150 attributes like earrings, backgrounds, clothes, eyewear, and other accessories to create multiple iterations of this beloved character.

While the endangered status of these cartoon characters isn’t true, it points to a stark and grim reality for the true-to-life feline lineage. Cheetahs are currently under the “vulnerable” category defined by the International Union for the Conservation of Nature Red List and could hit the endangered list very soon. These animals are currently some of the fastest land animals on the face of the planet, but they face all kinds of grave threats like destroyed habitats and mass poaching.

In an attempt to switch this fate for Cheetahs other animals facing extinction, the team behind the Cheetah Gang has promised to give a tenth of its proceeds to animal welfare and protection. The launch is coming soon as the website has recently published that D-day will be on October 20, 2021, at 1:00 PM UTC.

The Cheetah Gang NTFs combine up to 8 earring designs, 18 backgrounds, 46 clothes, 15 bodies, 33 eyewear, four masks, five noses, 24 hats, and 25 mouths to create 10,000 unique characters. Nine thousand nine hundred fifty of those will be available on a fair price and fair distribution basis as soon as doors open on the twentieth. The other fifty will be reserved for lucky winners who will get the non-fungible token absolutely for free.

NFTs have been the object of interest for people worldwide. It takes blockchain-based technology and creates individual ledgers on a digital contract list, making each digital token secure and unique. Moreover, it takes after the same technology that cryptocurrencies use to keep their value. Accordingly, prices of previous releases have gone up due to rising demands, with some tokens getting to values that surpass six to seven digits after only a few months on the market or less.

Cheetah Gang hopes to become the next release to break through. With an initial price of 0.077 Ether, or roughly around $260 apiece, it will provide its new owners with a chance to trade them for higher prices once pre-sale ends. After the initial offer, Cheetah Gang characters will go on the Open Sea network for open trading.

The team behind this NFT launch look forward to raising a community based on their blockchain offer and create massive opportunities for collectors while also doing good for animals that need intervention and help. Learn more about the upcoming release by visiting Cheetah Gang’s website, Twitter and Discord accounts.
