1. StandOut Connect
StandOut Connect is a remote program started at The University of Chicago that connects high school students with paid internships in their fields of interest. The StandOut Connect program is known for giving high school students the opportunity to interview with companies until they are hired into meaningful paid roles.
Each StandOut Connect participant is guaranteed an internship placement once they complete their professional training, which includes skills such as building a resume in addition to more technology-focused skills such as integrating AI into their workflows.
2. NASA High School Internship
Under the supervision of a NASA mentor, high school students can participate in paid internships through the NASA Office of STEM Engagement (OSTEM).
The NASA High School Internship Program offers students the chance to work under the supervision of a NASA mentor, which is one of its most important advantages.
These mentors are experienced professionals who provide guidance and support to students throughout the internship. They help students learn new skills and provide valuable feedback on their work, helping them develop professionally and academically.
Students in this program will acquire practical experience in a work setting and grow key abilities that will aid them in their future careers.

3. Internship at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in high school
You can interact one-on-one and in small groups with Museum professionals in a variety of connected professions, such as editorial, marketing, social media, education, and more, through the High School Internship Program.
Students who are selected for the program can expect to work on a variety of projects related to their interests and skills. They will have the opportunity to work on editorial projects, marketing campaigns, social media content, and education programs, among others. They will also participate in workshops and other activities designed to help them develop their skills and learn more about the art industry.
4. Massachusetts Institute of Technology MITES Summer Program
The six-week MITES Summer Program immerses juniors in US high schools in challenging and gratifying math, science, and humanities courses.
During the program, students will take a variety of courses related to their interests and skills. They will get the chance to collaborate with knowledgeable MIT faculty members and take part in research projects, lab experiments, and other activities that will help them hone their abilities and earn practical experience.

5. The Air Force Research Library Scholar Program
The Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) The Scholars Program provides upper-level high school students and undergraduate and graduate university students pursuing STEM degrees with stipend-paid summer internship opportunities.
The AFRL Scholars Program provides many benefits to students. They will gain hands-on experience working on real-world projects and develop the skills they will need to succeed in their future careers. They will also have the opportunity to network with professionals in the Air Force and gain valuable insights into the industry.
In addition to providing students with valuable work experience, the AFRL Scholars Program also offers stipend-paid internships. This means that students will receive compensation for their work during the program, helping to offset the costs of their education and living expenses.
