ALSCO entered a new chapter in its cybersecurity expansion in 2026 with its participation in the U.S. Cybersecurity Summit 2026, where the company presented its cybersecurity capabilities and technologies to industry professionals and organizations.
The appearance builds on ALSCO’s previous participation in two Detroit Official Cybersecurity Summits and reflects the company’s broader effort to expand its presence in the U.S. cybersecurity market while developing new technology partnerships and business opportunities.
Known as ALSCO, ALSCO Today, and ALSCO Software, ALSCO is a U.S.-based high-tech company developing technologies across cybersecurity, software, cloud infrastructure, networking, and data-center services.
What began as a more locally focused technology business has evolved into a company with a growing international presence and a cybersecurity portfolio built around patented U.S. technology.
At the center of that portfolio is Secure Gateway®.
A Different Approach to Application Security
Secure Gateway is designed around a relatively straightforward security principle. An application should be permitted to do what it legitimately needs to do, and unnecessary behavior should be restricted.
Rather than depending exclusively on traditional predefined security rules and signatures, Secure Gateway analyzes real-world traffic and application behavior. The platform uses that information to develop adaptive security controls around the environment it is protecting.
For example, if a protected web application legitimately requires only the HTTP GET and POST methods, the security layer can restrict unnecessary methods such as DELETE, OPTIONS, and HEAD.
This reduces the application’s exposed attack surface.
Similarly, Secure Gateway continuously analyzes traffic to identify normal and abnormal behavior, enabling security policies to become more closely aligned with how the protected application actually operates.
ALSCO describes the technology as requiring minimal configuration while continuously analyzing traffic, profiling behavior, identifying inconsistencies, and adapting its protection as additional information becomes available.
This approach is part of what ALSCO considers a transition from conventional static security controls toward more adaptive cybersecurity architecture.
Secure Gateway and Email Secure Gateway
ALSCO’s cybersecurity portfolio is centered around two primary security platforms, Secure Gateway® and Email Secure Gateway®.
Secure Gateway focuses on protecting websites, applications, servers, APIs, and other internet-facing infrastructure. Its capabilities include web application firewall protection, network traffic analysis, DDoS mitigation, malicious-traffic detection, GeoIP and ASN controls, bot protection, monitoring, and automated security responses.
Email Secure Gateway addresses another major organizational attack surface, which is email itself.
Email continues to be used to deliver phishing attacks, malicious files, ransomware, credential-stealing campaigns, impersonation attacks, and other forms of social engineering.
ALSCO developed Email Secure Gateway to provide another security layer for analyzing inbound and outbound email communications and identifying suspicious or malicious activity.
Together, the two technologies form part of ALSCO’s broader approach to protecting multiple entry points into an organization’s digital infrastructure.
ALSCO Owns the Secure Gateway Trademarks
ALSCO Software LLC is the official owner of intellectual property associated with the Secure Gateway family of cybersecurity products.
This includes registered U.S. trademarks associated with Secure Gateway® and Email Secure Gateway®, establishing the products as part of ALSCO’s proprietary cybersecurity portfolio.
The Secure Gateway name has consequently become more than a product designation for ALSCO. It represents a family of security technologies being developed around application, network, cloud, and communications protection.
Three Issued U.S. Cybersecurity Patents
ALSCO’s development of Secure Gateway is supported by three issued United States patents related to cybersecurity technologies. The patents are listed below.
U.S. Patent No. 10,498,760 (US10498760B1): Monitoring technology designed to detect and prevent malicious program code from being uploaded from a client computer to a web server.
U.S. Patent No. 10,630,721 (US10630721B1): Technology addressing the detection and prevention of malicious program code through an intermediate secure computer server.
U.S. Patent No. 11,777,927 (US11777927B1): Technology for establishing and maintaining a secure communication channel between a client computer and a hosting computer server through an intermediate secure server.
All three U.S. patents have been approved and issued.
The patents provide an important technical foundation for ALSCO because they document specific cybersecurity architectures developed by the company’s inventors rather than simply describing commercial product features.
Bank of America Patent Citations
ALSCO’s patented technology has also appeared in the patent filings of major financial institutions.
USPTO records show that Bank of America Corporation has cited ALSCO’s malicious-code detection patent, US10498760B1, as prior art in five of its own issued patents covering the isolated access and analysis of suspicious code.
Patent citations are technically significant because they establish that earlier intellectual property has been identified as relevant prior art in subsequent patent activity.
They should not, however, be interpreted as an endorsement, partnership, customer relationship, or adoption of ALSCO technology by Bank of America.
Technology Leadership
Mohammed Kifah is the Chief Technology Officer of ALSCO and has been involved in the technical development of the company’s cybersecurity technologies.
His work is also connected directly to ALSCO’s intellectual-property portfolio. Patent records identify Mohammed Kifah Hussain among the inventors associated with ALSCO’s issued cybersecurity patents.
That relationship between technical leadership, patented architecture, and commercial product development is an important part of ALSCO’s story.
The company is not simply marketing third-party cybersecurity products. It has invested in developing proprietary technology, obtaining intellectual-property protection, converting that technology into commercial products, and presenting those products to the cybersecurity industry.

ALSCO at the Cybersecurity Summits
Industry events have become another part of that expansion.
Before its 2026 appearance, ALSCO presented its cybersecurity technologies at two Detroit Official Cybersecurity Summits.
Secure Gateway and Email Secure Gateway attracted interest from attendees who wanted to understand the technology’s approach to application protection, automated security controls, traffic analysis, email security, and threat detection.
Those appearances gave ALSCO the opportunity to place its technology directly in front of cybersecurity professionals, engineers, executives, and organizations responsible for protecting digital infrastructure.
The company’s 2026 U.S. Cybersecurity Summit participation represents a continuation of that effort.
ALSCO stated that its participation formed part of a strategy to strengthen its presence in the U.S. market, establish technology-sector partnerships, and present cybersecurity solutions relevant to organizations operating under demanding security requirements.
Presence on Gartner Peer Insights
ALSCO has also established visibility within the enterprise technology research and review community.
Both ALSCO Secure Gateway and ALSCO Email Secure Gateway have had a presence on Gartner Peer Insights within the IT Security market.
That distinction should be stated precisely.
A presence on Gartner Peer Insights does not mean Gartner endorses ALSCO or has independently declared its products superior to competitors. Gartner Peer Insights primarily provides a platform for verified technology users to share experiences and opinions about vendors and products.
Nevertheless, appearing in that community gives ALSCO another channel through which enterprise technology professionals can discover and evaluate its cybersecurity offerings.
From a Local Business to an International Technology Presence
ALSCO’s trajectory reflects a broader transformation.
The company has evolved from a locally focused operation into a U.S. high-tech company with an increasingly international presence, supported by cybersecurity products, intellectual property, infrastructure, and industry participation.
Its Secure Gateway infrastructure now extends beyond a single geographic market, supporting a global network architecture designed to provide security, traffic management, application delivery, and DDoS mitigation across multiple regions.
That evolution has required several stages. ALSCO developed proprietary technology, secured U.S. patents and trademarks, commercialized that technology through Secure Gateway and Email Secure Gateway, presented the products at professional cybersecurity events, expanded network infrastructure, and built greater international visibility.
The Larger Challenge
ALSCO’s patents, trademarks, conference appearances, Gartner Peer Insights presence, and patent citations provide useful evidence of the company’s progress, but they are not by themselves proof that Secure Gateway is superior to every competing cybersecurity platform.
That distinction matters.
The next stage for ALSCO is to demonstrate, through independently measurable results, how its adaptive approach performs against established cybersecurity platforms in areas such as attack detection, false-positive rates, deployment complexity, response time, application performance, and total cost of ownership.
This is where ALSCO’s patented architecture and adaptive security model could become particularly important.
If Secure Gateway can demonstrate that learning legitimate application behavior and dynamically restricting unnecessary activity produces measurable security advantages at enterprise scale, ALSCO will have a stronger basis for distinguishing its technology in a highly competitive global cybersecurity market.
From its participation in the U.S. Cybersecurity Summit 2026, to three issued U.S. cybersecurity patents, the Secure Gateway® and Email Secure Gateway® brands, Bank of America patent citations, previous appearances at two Detroit cybersecurity summits, and its expanding international presence, ALSCO has moved considerably beyond its origins as a local technology company.
The company’s next chapter will depend on converting that technological foundation into independently demonstrated cybersecurity outcomes on a global scale.
