She then began designing and building new homes as the area’s first woman homebuilder which then led into her non-profit work, authoring two books and running for political office while continuing her legal consulting and raising a family. Joan’s role as the C.E.O./Founder of the Association for Honest Attorneys in 2003 marked a pivotal point in her career. 

This non-profit organization, aimed at discouraging litigation and improving the legal system, reflects her deep commitment to “justice for all.” Her efforts include providing pre-litigation consultation based on biblical principles and assisting in the preparation of court documents, with notable achievements such as helping to take ten pro se cases to the United States Supreme Court.

Farr’s educational background includes a Master’s and Bachelor’s Degree in Administration of Justice from Wichita State University, and these form the cornerstone of her expertise in legal matters.
