With the purpose of connecting people more deeply with themselves and the world around them, powerhouse Dana Grant reminds us of the transformative power of leading with the heart, launching The Dana Grant Show symbolically on the day of the Lionsgate portal.

“The Lionsgate portal symbolizes abundance, expansiveness, transformation, and alignment. I want every person who listens to this podcast to feel transformed and experience a shift in their soul because afterward, the mindset follows,” begins Grant.

In a recent episode featuring the highly inspirational Amberly Lago, Grant and Lago delved deep and explored topics many individuals would rather keep to themselves. Topics of trauma, addiction, family, and sobriety came up, but more importantly, wisdom into how to navigate these situations and embark on a new, more fulfilling path.

When asked what resonated most with her from their conversation, Grant said, “Connection, connection, connection. Just a heart-centered connection.” Throughout her conversation with Lago, it became evident that one important aspect of connection is the relationship one has with oneself—an alignment between the mind, body, and soul.

Oftentimes in life, one may find themselves at a crossroads where the mind says one thing and the heart says another. In this situation, Grant advises “one to reroute everything to their heart and ask, ‘does this feel like love?’”

She explains that the mind can get caught up in fears, doubts, and past experiences, steering individuals away from what they truly want. But by making a shift from mind-driven choices to heart-driven ones, any decisions one makes will then be based on what feels right on a deeper, more intuitive level.

Something not easy to do and a process she previously struggled with herself, Grant acknowledges that shifting to trusting the heart over trusting the mind is not at all easy but an integral part of connecting with one’s heart center.

“Making change is not comfortable,” she recognizes. “But if you detach from the outcome and stay in the desire, you’ll be able to trust that the decision you make will open up the doors that you need.”

On the other hand, Grant highlights that staying in one’s comfort zone is “the ego’s way of protecting you.” This was something that she learned during a very pivotal time in her life—after a big business decision in which what came out of her mouth was “yes,” when her intuition told her, “absolutely not.”

“I took on a business situation that did not end well for me,” she shares. “I knew initially that it wasn’t aligned, but I said yes because I didn’t want to hurt their feelings,” a situation many can likely relate to. It’s not uncommon to find oneself prioritizing other people first.

Even though her intuition encouraged her to recognize that this wasn’t the right choice, Grant chose to listen to her mind. It was through this obstacle she learned the importance of trusting her heart over her mind and doing so allowed her to feel more aligned and connected with herself. Today she helps others find the same strength.

When asked if she has any advice for individuals looking to connect more meaningfully, she says to “look in the mirror each day and ask yourself, ‘What do you need from me today?’ You will get an answer, and your job is to listen to that.”

By trusting one’s heart and getting vulnerable, Grant believes that anyone can deepen their connection to their heart’s wisdom. In her latest episode featuring the inspiring Lia Valencia Key, the duo explores this concept further, delving deep into how life’s predicaments don’t shape who we are, but it’s how we choose to show up for ourselves that truly matters.

By sharing our own experiences and listening tentatively when others share theirs, we can learn from each other and make the experience of life even more meaningful. Showcasing the “heart-to-heart, messy conversations,” The Dana Grant Show was created so people could “feel less alone and understand that this is a resource that’s available to them.”

Adding that nothing about her personal story is off limits, the Master Certified Life Coach’s fierce vulnerability has helped her to create a movement. Inspired by her guidance, individuals from all walks of life are learning to trust their intuition and connect more deeply.
