Giving back is a fantastic contribution humans can make in life. We love to write stories like this for our readers to view and support. Philanthropy comes in all shapes and forms, including the work of a fashion model who uses his voice to start a project with a purposeful cause.
Tyler Grosso, a New York-based traveling fashion model, is new in the fashion industry. However, his name has come up a few times in colleague conversations. You can see articles written about him in a few online journals and his pictures from fashion shows he has walked in. He is known for his effortless style, polished personality, and beautiful eyes.
We first heard about Tyler, also known as Ty, from the significant coverage he received during New York Fashion Week (NYFW) in NYC. He was seen in the first row at all the popular fashion shows last month wearing exquisite garments from fashion designers, such as Rick Owens, MaxxiJ, Besfxxk, Greedilous, and Maison Margiela, to name a few. His handsome features, impeccable fashion sense, and charming nature allow him to captivate a room at ease and truly show why he is unique. He is a rock star with colossal potential.
Furthermore, his social media presence speaks for itself. We are impressed by how he uses his platform to highlight important topics and raises awareness on impactful and challenging issues. For example, he recently worked with a Ukrainian fashion designer, Kseniaschnaider, and posted beautiful pictures wearing their handmade denim garments. The project’s purpose was to give a voice to the Ukrainian citizens impacted by corruption, greed, and devastation in their country. Additionally, he has worked with various charities, clothing brands, and businesses that shed light on essential issues that need support.
Tyler partnered with the Wholehearted Foundation and started Choose Hope with his friend and artist Ray Bennet. The project aimed to raise money for heart patients in need who are struggling with heart complications and disorders. To do this, they connected with the Heart Community, which deals with these pressing issues daily, and gained immense insight.

The inspiration to start Choose Hope Project came from Ray’s son, Micha, and his Congenital Heart Defect (CHD) battle. After three open heart surgeries and over 100 days consecutively spent in the Hospital, you understand how precious life is and how tough some of these kids are. It’s always hard to see loved ones, especially our children dealing with such serious issues.
Ty’s creativity, Ray’s fantastic art skills, and their passion for helping others led them to design a hand-painted skateboard for charity. The design on the skateboard pays homage to the creation of Ray’s own character, The Heart Guy, who has helped bring awareness to congenital heart defects and other heart complications. Moreover, the skateboard paid homage to Ray’s drawing of The Heart Guy, symbolically reflecting his son’s battle with CHD. After selling the skateboard on eBay at auction and receiving donations from their video content online, they were able to contribute more than $10,000 to families in need.
Ty started this project to meet a need in the heart community. The project inspired and supported children battling Heart Disease and Heart Defects. The Choose Hope Project has gained national attention through the power of social media, with thousands of views, comments, likes, and shares supporting this project.
