From Corporate Offices to the Amazon Live Spotlight, Tricia’s Story Proves It’s Never Too Late to Begin Again

At 66 years old, Tricia Connor Jackson is becoming a breakout star on her own terms. After decades in corporate leadership, overcoming abuse, and walking away from a life that no longer aligned with her well-being, she’s now front and center in front of the camera. And her most significant moment yet appears to be unfolding now.

Last Thursday, June 5, Tricia made her onscreen debut in the brand-new Amazon MGM pilot Shopping Court, hosted on Amazon Live and streamable through the Prime Video app. The show features a lively and engaging panel testing and reviewing online products to help viewers decide whether to “buy or deny.” Tricia’s charm, wit, and presence bring something uniquely refreshing to the format.

“I never imagined this life,” she says. “I didn’t chase it. But when it came, I met it with heart, hustle, and humility. I want every woman to know—it’s never too late to begin something new.”

From Vice President to Survivor

Before the bright lights, Tricia built a successful career in sales leadership, rising to Vice President roles at Procter & Gamble, Stride Rite, and Nestlé Purina. She also kept a promise to her alma mater, Southeast Missouri State University, giving back through scholarships and mentorship.

But behind the polished professional image, Tricia was enduring emotional and verbal abuse in a marriage that was gradually draining her health and spirit.

“I stayed until I realized the stress would likely harm me if I continued to endure his abuse,” she shares.

In May 2020, amid a global pandemic, she packed up her savings, Christmas decorations, and Ford Explorer, and left it all behind.

From Pain to Power: Starting Over at 61

After relocating to Palm Springs and later returning to Spokane, she began substitute teaching, reconnecting with her roots and rebuilding her peace. Then, a stranger’s offhand comment in a bar sparked a new direction.

“Are you a model? You should be an actress.”

Curious, she gave herself a $10,000 one-year budget and signed up on a casting app for $199. “I lost it all—but the gigs kept coming,” Tricia laughs.

Today, she has worked with over 290 brands in beauty, fitness, health, and skincare, and starred in more than 37 film projects, including lead roles in short films and now a supporting role in Shopping Court, alongside fellow star Bianca Del Rio.

Up Next: Barked Up and Beyond

Tricia’s next big role is in the upcoming feature Barked Up, where she plays a fashion mogul undergoing a magical transformation. The quirky, heartwarming project allows her to stretch her acting abilities even further and showcase her natural charisma.

But for Tricia, this isn’t just about acting. It’s about claiming joy, visibility, and voice.

“Stop hiding. Stop apologizing for your story,” she urges. “We are the fortunate ones who’ve lived long enough to reinvent ourselves. You get 20, maybe 30 more years—make them joyful, make them matter.”

Wellness as a Foundation

Her vitality isn’t purely genetic—it’s intentional. Tricia runs 15+ miles a week, lifts weights, and practices yoga, staying in peak health for the life she’s now embracing with full energy.

“I’m passionate about my health, working daily to remain fit and vibrant,” she says.

“For so long, I presented myself like a swan gliding smoothly across the water’s surface, calm and in control. But underneath, I was paddling like mad, just trying to hold it all together.”

Redefining Success

Fame is not the ultimate goal for Tricia—freedom is.

“My success will never come at the cost of my happiness. I don’t want fame if it robs me of peace. I want balance, joy, and meaningful relationships. That’s success.”

And that success is unfolding in front of us right now.
