Thrive Bioscience Making a Difference in the World with More Streamlined Drug Discovery and Development Process

Scientific advancement is a culmination of many processes, with each process as important as every other process. In drug development, cell culture is a vital foundation for the creation of new medicine within the industry. However, poor cell culture has contributed to a deficiency in the quality of drug discovery and development. Thrive Bioscience is stepping in with its unique solutions that increase the quality, speed and cost-effectiveness of drug discovery and basic research. The company also improves the cell culture, stem cell culture and tissue culture processes to deliver new therapies.

At its core, Thrive Bioscience provides instruments and software for consistently growing healthy cells with accompanying data, documentation and analytics. Founded by Thomas Forest Farb-Horch in 2014, Thrive Bioscience has been on a mission to impact the world positively, and so far, its impact has been reported far and wide by notable researchers and scientists. Describing the company’s primary mission, Thomas Forest Farb-Horch said: “We found a critically important area in life sciences that has an impact on all of us. Drug discovery and drug development have such low odds of success, and we found out one of the principal reasons why. And that’s what we are solving. One in ten thousand drugs actually gets to patients, and one of the fundamental problems is cell culture.”

Thrive Bioscience’s impact as a company is geared toward widespread drug development improvement. The company works directly with researchers and saves time and money by providing the resources needed to keep an experiment pure and accurate. “With Thrive Bioscience, when an experiment isn’t going as planned, those results won’t come out differently. So, you wonder what kind of data and equipment they used. Often, an operator will do the exact same thing, but because of the equipment, it will completely impact the experiment. Thrive Bioscience fixes that problem,” Thomas explained. Researchers have lauded Thrive Bioscience’s efforts and attested that those efforts are going to change the world.

The success that Thrive Bioscience has enjoyed since it began operations can be attributed to its management team and its rich experience with innovations and building successful companies. Thomas has been involved in the founding of 17 companies, out of which he had seven multi-billion dollar exits. He has been involved in multiple fields like artificial intelligence, analytics, imaging and healthcare. His knowledge in these fields helped him launch Thrive Bioscience, and the value he has created is making a significant impact in the health and wellness industry.

Thomas Forest Farb-Horch currently serves on the boards of directors of Autoimmunity Biologic Solutions (an immunotherapy company), Emervax (an RNA vaccine company), and a non-profit, North Shore InnoVentures, a life sciences and green tech business incubator. The goal for the next few years is to expand Thrive Bioscience’s services into different parts of the world where drug development takes place. “We are doing great work, and we hope everyone gets to feel the impact of our work,” Tom said.
