Qubii Duo Is Pioneering the Future of Backup and Recovery Ahead of World Backup Day

There was a time when memories would be kept in photo albums and information kept in cabinet files, but thanks to great technological leaps, there are plenty of options that people can select from. While platforms allow people to store their photos and other files, it has become the norm to have a backup. Due to the need for extra storage, people have been utilizing external hard drives and online storage to back up their files.

With the number of photos people take and the number of essential files they store, it has become a necessity for people to back up their files. In addition, data losses can happen, whether physical theft or unintentional calamities, making it necessary for people to store their files in a secure and separate device.

Data backup is needed as a secure archive for classified documents and treasured photos so that people can restore devices in the event of data loss or other reasons, especially as phones and laptops can be infected with viruses, stolen, or broken by accident. External hard drives can also wear out, causing people to lose their data.

Qubii Duo is a brand new piece of technology that not only solves the data backup problem but also charges mobile devices for both Apple and Android. It is an ultra-fast charging, advanced auto-backup cube that lets people automatically backup their data when they stack the Qubii Duo on top of their charging block. The device stores photos, 4K videos, contacts, music, and other files with security, smart automatic backup, and extensive storage space up to 2TB with two-factor authentication security.

The device was designed so Apple and Android users could use it across multiple devices. Once plugged, it will recognize the device. Qubii’s software allows it to identify new files and photos before proceeding with backup based on the last backup. Although the initial backup may take time, subsequent backups will only take seconds.

The timely arrival of the Qubii device coincides with the approach of World Backup Day. It was started eleven years ago by digital consultant Ismail Jadun. The date was chosen before April Fools because “only a fool would forget to backup their data.”

While the process of backing up is simple, there are more strategies than most people realize. For example, photographer and IT professional Trevor Sherwin revealed that he utilizes the 3-2-1 Rule, easily applicable to the Qubii Duo. The strategy involves creating three copies of their data as a minimum, using two different media or hard drives to store their files, and separating one medium from the others.

The Qubii Duo can serve as the primary backup, especially since it’s easy to carry around. People can get the USB-A or the USB-C, depending on their devices. People with Android can either plug the cord directly or remove their SD card and insert it into the cube. Both can also just directly plug in their charger bricks into the Qubii Duo to directly use it. In addition, users can lock their files with a single click so no one else can access their files. They can also enable the Face ID/Touch ID in the settings through the Qubii Pro app as it provides two-factor authentication. With technology making even more significant leaps, the Qubii Duo designed by Maktar is pioneering the next era for backup and recovery.
