Myrtle October’s journey isn’t one paved with perfection—it’s one marked by persistence, poetry, and a commitment to healing that doesn’t apologize for its boldness. A mother, certified human services professional, speaker, and soulful performer, Myrtle walks the line between real-world resilience and spiritual softness. Her story—anchored by faith, uprooted by rejection, and reignited by truth—is now touching stages, hearts, and homes across the country.
With a Master’s in Public Administration and certification as a Human Services Board Certified Practitioner (HS-BCP), Myrtle brings more than expertise—she brings lived experience. From being asked to leave the very church she served for years, to raising children while navigating neurodivergence and grief, Myrtle has endured her own undoing. But in that unraveling, she found divine redirection.
“Mental health isn’t optional,” she says. “It’s the cost of staying alive and walking in my calling.”
Her work centers on the Three E’s Framework: Experience, Experimentation, and Expertise—a philosophy that teaches others to honor their past, try new paths without shame, and embrace the wisdom their journey has already earned.
Free Them: A Workbook for Women Ready to Reclaim Themselves
Myrtle’s newest offering, Free Them, is more than a workbook—it’s a mirror. Created for women who’ve over-functioned, over-explained, and over-extended themselves for too long, the workbook invites readers to release what no longer serves, and remember what was never theirs to carry.
Inside its pages, Myrtle explores themes like emotional labor, spiritual exhaustion, and what she calls “the three exes”:
Excuses, Expectations, and Exhaustion.
“Break up with those,” she says, “and you might just meet yourself.”
Offered as a free download, Free Them is being used in women’s circles, retreats, and one-on-one healing journeys. It is a call to soften, simplify, and start again.

Her Framework: The Three E’s
Myrtle’s framework offers a grounded and gentle path toward liberation:
- Experience – Reclaim your narrative. Your story isn’t broken—it’s blueprint.
- Experimentation – Healing isn’t linear. Make room for the unexpected.
- Expertise – You already carry wisdom. You just need to trust your way of knowing.
Her style blends the grace of Oprah with the vulnerability of Brené Brown, yet Myrtle’s energy is unmistakably her own. Whether she’s singing, speaking, or simply holding space, she reminds people that reclaiming your voice is a holy act.
“I’m not here to convince anyone,” she says. “I’m here to make space for people to remember what they already knew—and feel safe enough to act on it.”
In a world that often demands women of color shrink or sanitize their stories, Myrtle October shows up in full spectrum—heels on, heart open, and healing unapologetically.
