Doki Division Opens the Gates of the Zephora Universe to Welcome the NFT Community

For decades, anime has been one of the most significantly impactful sources of entertainment, embedding itself into pop culture around the world. Over the years, anime has influenced western media, especially in movies like the final fight in Man of Steel  and even video games. In the art communities, anime has inspired many of the current and future wave of artists.

As the world delves into the digital age, anime can be seen prominently in many artist’s styles. With the birth of non-fungible tokens or NFTs, it was only a matter of time before projects started adapting the anime style. Doki Division is a project that strives to utilize the eastern style among crypto and NFT enthusiasts.

Doki Division is one of the few, only female-run NFT projects that features anime-inspired artwork. Each Doki is created with over 130 attributes, all of which are hand drawn. The founders of the project wanted to create something that not only attracted crypto and NFT enthusiasts but also bring in anime fans looking to delve into the new form of art.

While most NFT projects strive to create cute, animal-inspired tokens, Doki Division wanted to bring an edge to the digital space. The collection features seemingly cute anime girls with various accessories. However, Doki Division put a spin on their collection, giving their characters an edgy look with darker themes to outline that the Doki women are badass. “Our art represents all the women who take charge and stand out in the financial technology space,” said the developers.

With a collection of over 10,000 Doki girls, the developers crafted a lore that involved three classes and six races, each one ranging in rarity. The highest class consists of the Nekoids, Akumas, and Seraphimas (the immortale race in the Doki lore); the middle class is divided between the Nymphs and Aethers, while the Florans are the commoners.

Each race coexists in the Zephora universe, an underworld where civilians must fight and garner their power through human blood. The universe has existed for 10,000 years, ruled by the Nekoids and Akumas, who have claimed their position atop the hierarchy through their superior strength and unmatchable power, leaving the lower classes to fight among themselves for scraps. Looking to restore the Zephora universe back into a utopia, the Florans have been plotting to initiate a revolution by seeking out power from The Eyes, with the Succubi owning the rarest.

The Doki Division team is already concluding its build-up phase and is preparing to open the Doki Club, wherein the holders will get  free merchandise and gain access to exclusive prizes like vacation trips, development sneak peeks, cash drops, game nights, and more. The team is currently looking to expand and hire writers and artists to help bring the Zephora universe come to life in the manga and video game world. Additionally, Doki Division will be releasing Doki boys soon.
