Apple announced that new devices would be released at its California headquarters on September 7. Apple is planning to release another batch of iPhones, which piqued tech enthusiasts’ interest. Every September since 2012, the company has introduced smartphone models, and this year is no different.
Because of the pandemic, Apple has been announcing its products through pre-recorded videos. This year, however, things will be different as the company plans for an in-person setup. The media and a slew of tech geeks would be allowed to the headquarters for the event, while others could view it online via the Apple website or YouTube.
During this period, Apple has always captured the world’s attention. September is a signature event for Apple, attracting millions of people at the very least. The leading technology company’s hyped-up September event is a reason for increased company revenue during the last three months of every year.
Apple has chosen the tagline “Far out.” There are numerous theories as to what this could entail. Others believe it may refer to the company’s camera upgrade, which includes enhanced night-sky photography capabilities.
Every year, new iPhones and Apple Watches are released. A month later, new iPad and Mac models will also be issued. So as August winds down, tech enthusiasts have been keeping an eye out for any surprises that Apple may have in store for its potential buyers.
Newest iPhone set to be released
Apple is expected to launch a new line of smartphones, the iPhone 14, following the 2021 iPhone 13. However, according to analysts, the company may have cut the ‘mini’ models in favor of the 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch screens found on Apple’s iPhone Pro and Pro Max features.
Naturally, the Pro and Pro Max variants would be more expensive than their counterparts. According to Bloomberg News and Apple Watchers, brand new features will be added to the upcoming models.
Later versions of the iPhone featured a notch on the top of the phone that housed the FaceID sensor and camera. This year, Apple may abandon the space, paving the way for a larger screen with almost no bezels. Furthermore, the iPhone 14 Pro models may be kitted with the A16 processor and cameras with relatively larger bumps.
The always-on display that shows the current time and weather is a relatively new feature for iPhones but not new to Android phones. This could simply be added to the iPhone 14, as Apple beta tests indicate that the company attempted to add a new widget to its display.
Meanwhile, iPhone prices will remain in the typical range of $699 to $1099. However, this range is subject to change because Apple has yet to announce the pricing of its devices for the September launch.
The newest Apple operating system
Apple’s operating system, iOS 16, would be updated. The system was tested in June of last year and has since undergone system checks and improvements over the summer. The update will still be available for older iPhone models.
Users of iOS 16 may enjoy new features, such as the option to customize the iPhone lock, which allows owners to select which widgets appear on the screen, such as the weather, calendar, appointments, and other information. For the first time, users could change the font of the lock screen clock.
Furthermore, iMessages can now be edited and unsent. This is helpful for individuals who frequently make mistakes when sending important messages.
Unfortunately, Apple noted that the iOS for their iPads would be introduced only after the September event, which means that the new iPads and Macs would not be released concurrently with the iPhones and Apple Watch. However, the business is picking up speed in the completion of their other devices as they’ve already teased a probable Mac Pro in the spring.
