Networking is an agelong steroid for business. Networking is what births referrals, word-of-mouth marketing, recommendations, collaborations and a host of other things that moves a business forward. Shantae Menendez, recognizing the importance of networking, decided to build a platform that fosters networking called Talent on Edge to bring entrepreneurs, business owners, talented individuals, creative individuals, personal brands, models, etc., together to interact, collaborate, share ideas and do things together.
Shantae built Talent on Edge to connect herself to other models and major players that can connect her to opportunities. However, it grew into something more that can benefit many people across various industries, and she let it flourish into what it is today.
“For me, the goal is simply to help and push these creative individuals and get the acknowledgement they deserve but to also share the work with other viewers and for them to be seen. I want people to know that I’m rooting for them, and I also am pushing to get to the top just like them,” she said.
Talent on Edge came to life a little over a year ago, and it has grown on social media to over 7,000 followers, with many people identifying with the platform’s vision and goals. Shantae Menendez wants a world where entrepreneurs and creative talents are booked and busy and thriving in their careers. The platform has now grown into a full-fledged agency that brings people together from all walks of life regardless of barriers or limitations. Shantae takes diversity quite seriously as she welcomes people of all races, tribes, colors, countries, sexuality, and other factors that make humans unique.
Shantae’s motivation for building Talent on Edge is to foster a collaborative mentality rather than a competitive one. She believes in using one hand to wash the other to make sure they are clean, and she applies this premise to the platform to give talented and creative people all the spotlight they need to be successful.
“I always say it takes one share or repost to get noticed by the eyes that can make things happen for a talented person who has been grinding for so long. So I want to be that person for as many people as possible, getting them noticed by those who matter,” Shantae explained.
The 29-year-old entrepreneur from New Jersey hopes to see her company succeed in the next few years. She plans to build it into a global platform where artists can share their works and network with numerous amazing talents worldwide. Essentially, she hopes Talent on Edge becomes a home for talented and gifted people to make the most of their abilities. Currently, many artists, photographers, models, dancers, and music video vixens are plugged to Talent on Edge, and Shantae calls on other collaborators to reach out and connect with them.Learn more about Talent on Edge on its official Instagram page.
