Few industries have undergone as much transformation as education. And within this domain, one name stands out for its groundbreaking contributions: Dr. Faustino da Rosa Junior. A former lawyer turned tech entrepreneur, Dr. Faustino has played a pivotal role in reshaping how medical professionals across Brazil—and soon, the world—access continuing education.

Dr. Faustino’s journey is as unconventional as it is inspiring. Starting his career in law, he specialized in Digital Law, Business Tax Law, and Constitutional Law. But as he navigated the complexities of legal cases, he began to notice a recurring theme: the power of technology to drive significant change. “Law is about understanding frameworks and navigating them,” he tells us, “but I started seeing how technology could be a framework in itself—one that could revolutionize entire industries.”

This realization led to the founding of FGMED in 2016, a platform specifically designed to provide continuing medical education (CME) to doctors across Brazil. “When I started FGMED, the goal was simple,” Dr. Faustino explains. “We wanted to ensure that every doctor, no matter where they were in Brazil, could access the most current, high-quality educational resources available.”

The impact was immediate. FGMED quickly became the largest CME platform in the country, offering a wide array of courses that medical professionals could access from anywhere. “We’ve always been about accessibility and relevance,” he says. “Doctors are busy. They need an education that fits into their lives and helps them stay ahead in their field. That’s what FGMED was built to provide.”

Dr. Faustino’s passion for improving education isn’t just about professional success—it’s deeply personal. “I come from a background where access to education was everything,” he shares. “It’s what allowed me to build a career in law and, eventually, to pivot into technology. I wanted to give back by creating something that would have a lasting impact.”

With FGMED firmly established as a leader in Brazil, Dr. Faustino began to look beyond his home country. The next logical step? Expanding into the United States, a market known for its competitive landscape and immense opportunities, “The U.S. is different from Brazil in many ways,” he notes. “The market is more mature, and the expectations are higher. However, the need for ongoing medical education is universal. That’s where I see FGMED making a real difference.”

Of course, entering a new market isn’t without its challenges. Dr. Faustino is the first to acknowledge this. “We’ve done extensive research to understand the unique needs of American doctors,” he says. “It’s not just about translating content—it’s about adapting to a different regulatory environment, different expectations, and a different way of delivering education.”

However, Dr. Faustino is confident that FGMED is up to the task. The platform’s success in Brazil has provided a strong foundation, and his team is committed to ensuring that the U.S. expansion is just as impactful. “We’ve learned a lot from our experience in Brazil,” he reflects. “We’re taking those lessons and applying them to the U.S., making sure that we offer something truly valuable to medical professionals there.”

As our conversation winds down, it’s clear that Dr. Faustino’s vision extends far beyond just growing his business. He sees FGMED as a way to contribute to the broader goal of improving healthcare outcomes by empowering doctors with the knowledge they need. “At the end of the day, it’s not just about providing education,” he says. “It’s about making sure that doctors have the tools they need to provide the best care possible to their patients. If we can help them do that, then we’ve succeeded.”

Dr. Faustino da Rosa Junior is more than just an entrepreneur—he’s a visionary with a mission. His work is changing the landscape of medical education, first in Brazil and now globally. As he continues to push the boundaries of what’s possible, one thing is certain: the world of medical education will never be the same.
